I want to use a Fire Red Base to start a hack

Hey guys Im pretty new to the ROM hacking.
And I wanted to use a Fire Red rom base template to fully concentrate on story and scripts.

I downloaded the base rom from kristianangel89 (is there a better one?)

And I patched my rom and stuff. But I can not put the new pokemons into the wild grass, why doesnt it work ?

Im working with advanced maps

Use the advance map that is present in the .RAR file along with the patch if you want to edit wild encounters

I applied this patch https://github.com/Skeli789/Complete-Fire-Red-Upgrade to my rom. Still cant choose the wild new pokemons? There is no advance map included
