Idea: Tier 6?

    I was thinking (oh-oh) that maybe we could have another tier. i would like to donate more, and be recognised for it, as im sure a lot of 5-tiers who have donated more than $25. my idea is for $50+ donators to get a Tier 6. maybe a different color userbar (yellow goes with blue) for Tier 6 supporters, too. What do you think?

    I think this idea has been brought up before. I think the staff said that they were thinking about it.

    I don't think a different color is instore, but I am sure that there must be something that the staff can do for extra perks.

    I don't. 5 tiers is enough, if you wish to donate more, then donate more. You should be proud enough in the fact that you've helped out PC with it's fees and not want extra perks. I like what we've got, we just got bigger profile pictures. It would just be extra added work for the staff members. I wouldn't want a different coloured username and a different coloured bar... it would look weird.
     
    If you search through the board, you'll notice that the idea has been brought up before and that they just don't know what other perks to have besides the ones we have already.
     
    We've had two (I think two) people who've donated $100, but they're still in Tier 5. They didn't complain.

    That hardly sounds fair, Some of us just can't donate that much, does it me we would if we could, for some of us yes. I would donate more if I could, but considering I just lost my job, bills come first.

    I would like to change my position on this. From what others have said: I think it unnecessary for another tier.

    sounds like you think it's about getting noticed but it's not, we donate because PC should be kept alive for longer, not because we want to be noticed

    Being a part of decisions, having access to the VIP Forum and Style testing forum as well as having a colored username and badge isn't recognition enough?
     
    Well theyre obviously not as image concious or insecure as me. i would still want to be recognised for it.
    actually $100+ tier 7 could be added, too for the saints generous enough to donate that amount. anyway i dont think they would complain about it.

    If you want to be recognized so much, try to become a moderator. There's some recognition that would work out. But you're just being extremely selfish with your suggestion. I was going to agree with you by stating, if we got more perks, it would be a good idea. But if it's only about recognition, then no. Don't be so selfish and grow up a little bit.

    Edit: Besides, according to the donation list, you've only donated $25.00 anyway. So what does it matter to you?

    Well to be honest you could say the same for tiers 1-4. im just asking for tier 6 not 60. maybe $35+ would be more suitable then. and i just saw what i said. that was a bit careless of me, sorry.

    dont you think its more selfish to ask for more perks? dont you think we get enough? all i was
    saying is that IF I WERE TO DONATE UP TO $50, a new tier would be nice.

    You can say the same for everyone. Everyone wants some recognition around here. By donating, you get a username change and more features available to you. Thus, you get recognized by new members and old members due to the fact that you are no longer a regular member anymore, but a Supporter to the community. You know? I don't think you could get anymore recognized than that unless you become a member of the staff team.

    Um, no; Asking for more perks is a reason for a new Tier since they are what make the Tiers separated (as you can find out in the thread regarding donating); not recognition status. Perks are the reason why the staff can't make another Tier. They don't know what else to add other than what we already have.
     
    We'll discuss this among the staff.. and let you all know what becomes of it.

    There are few more perks we could squeeze out.. and we're always adding more new stuff.. so who knows..
     
    can be done.. easily. And should be, IMO. We still want to discuss adding a tier with the rest of the staff.
     
    I like 5 the #6 is evil and scary.
     
    What's the point in 'just a new number?' Seriously... what's the point? It's a number, dude. Most of us won't even be moved up anyway. And in asking for a new tier, you're asking for more perks. It's as simple as that.
