If Pokémon made any sense at all, more Pokémon would die from battles than 'faint'. I mean, one Fury Attack from a Scyther would kill you.

If pokemon wasn't absolutely preposterous and made just a sliver of sense then...
You'd never meet a legendary pokemon. They're legendary! Mythical!
You know how you have no choice but to battle any trainer you lock eyes with? And if you lose, you give them money? I think you're getting mugged...If pokemon made any sense, the police should do something about that.

If pokemon made sense, pokemon would still be pissed with you for kidnapping them and otherwise ruining their life even though you have a shiny badge.

GEN I (R/B/y)
-There'd be no kid to stop you from passing Brock.
-Pikachu wouldn't follow a complete and total stranger around a region.
GEN II (G/S/C)
-Kimono Ladies wouldn't be identical.
-People would be able to realize Sudwoodo is not just a tree...it has a face!
-Eusine wouldn't want to catch Suicune...he'd be a trainer saying "Suicune? It's a legendary. They don't exist."
GEN III (R/S/E)
-When Groundon is awakened, he would have turned Maxie and Brendan/May to ashes.
-When Kyogre is awakened, after you catch it, the water levels should've rised...so Hoenn would be all surfing (surf to get from Littleroot to Oldale for example.) ALl that water can't disappear.
-Maxie and Archie would've given their goals a little thought
-Magma and Aqua wouldn't have so many grunts
-The grunts should've quit when they gave the goals a little thought.
GEN IV- (D/P/Pt)
-A random old man isn't going to give you HIS pokemon
-There'd be more people in the PokeTch contest...seriously. You're the only trainer with a Poketch.
-Trainers wouldn't randomly smear honey on trees in public
GEN V (B/W)
-N has a legendary dragon and his parents still don't show up
-N would suicide after finding out his whole life was a lie...wait...he might've
-Ghetsis has stronger pokemon than N when all he does is give speeches...the logic is gone.
-Breeding japanese pokemon with american pokemon wouldn't give more shinies. That's like breeding some asian red slug and an american red slug...you're not going to get a blue slug!

1. An old man wouldn't give you a PokéTV for free.
2. Pokémon tears wouldn't revive Ash.
3. Team Rocket can't repair their balloon in a few seconds.

If pokemon made sense:
Gym Leaders would have more challengers. Seriously, there's only like three trainers that take the gym challenge, everyone else just stares blankly waiting for somebody to pass by so they can battle.
