Dude Groudon is awsome. What do U mean?

I mean I hate Groudons pronounciation. When I was playing Ruby I pronounced Groudon without the U in his name. Which made it sound more like a ground pokemon. However in the anime they pronounced it with the U and it didn't sound as good
