If the anime did follow the game pattern and the entire organization of Team Rocket just disbanded at the end of Johto and it's agents out of a job. They would have to find work elsewhere. I kind of wondered if something like that did happen and during the Hoenn saga; Jessie, James and Meowth found work with Team Magma. Butch and Cassidy find work with Team Aqua.
But then again, Jessie wouldn't look too good wearing a hood since her hair defines her character in a way. Cassidy would look rather silly wearing a bandana. I just thought that this would give more exposure to the regional criminal organizations more. Not to mention it would give both groups a good excuse to fight all the time.
I suppose for Meowth's boss fantasies, they would have to hide Maxie's face in the early seasons. The trio would still be at the bottom of the organization's food chain and not involved in any way in the search for Groudon. I suppose they would do what they have been doing for years and go after Pikachu. Butch and Cassidy on the other hand would likely be in the loop for Team Aqua's plans for Kyogre. Of course I could picture Archie or the other Aqua's calling Butch different names. Would have loved to see Matt and Courtney in the anime at least once.
As for Sinnoh, both teams would be out of a job again after the dissolution of Magma and Aqua and they all join Team Galactic. The real purpose of this thread is that I just think that TR needs a wardrobe change and to give more exposure to the regional bad guys like I mentioned above.
