If you could remove 1 feature from the mainstream Pokemon Games...

I'm going to say Effort Values. Far too complex and they are a huge time-waster if you want to play competitively.

Events, because I am getting tired of seeing all these nice event Pokemon that I'll never be able to own because I don't have WiFi. T_T It's not like everyone is going to have WiFi, Nintendo. >.>

HM's. Or at the very least relegate them to a "fifth" slot that you only use in the field and doesn't take up your four battle move-slots (unless you want to use the HM move in battle).

This is a really, really good idea.

On events, I wouldn't say get rid of them, but instead of handing out new Pokemon, make the focus of the event something you do with the other people there. Like a tournament or something. I heard of a convention once where all the Pokemon players got together and made a league, with Gym Leaders and everything. Something like that would be pretty cool. All the awesome Pokemon, though, should just be in the games to start with. It's bad enough you're making me trade to fill out my Pokedex.

And as for competitions/musicals/etc., I like the concept in theory, i.e. that your Pokemon can be used for something other than just fighting, but it really needs to actually be fun in order to work.

Those pesky HM's!

Seriously, I hate them so much. And I hate that you can't delete them from a pokemon.

Events. I'm happy that I can get them now, but I'd rather have rare legendary Pokemon (like Victini) and other stuff in the game after a certain point, not via event. I just now was able to get Wi-Fi, and said Wi-Fi is McDonalds.

HMs also need to go. They're just really annoying.

I agree with you, events really aren't really necesary. Don't really care if your legendary pokemon is so hard to get it takes weeks...better than standing in a line for one or just feeling dumped that you have no time. I think it adds more fun to the games if they added the legendaries on there on hard mode...more adventure, and maybe even add clues there.
And yes, HMs are annoying. I never really use them that much, unless I really need to and my life depended on them on the games.

HMs I hate them with a VENGEANCE!!!!

If you don't live in JP or USA use Wi-Fi.
No Wi-Fi? It's the 21st century, get it. There are many alternatives for Wi-Fi.
Video games are meant to SELL, not pirate off the computer, it's illegal.
If you're playing on an emulator, too bad. It's your fault for being cheap.

ANYWHO.

What would I like to change?..
I'd want to add the Pokeradar. It's harder to find shinies now.. :|

No need to bashon my opinion. Because you know I can just say the exact same thing to you like.

"Shiny's are supposed to be hard to find and rewarding. Where's the reward when you use a Key Item to help you achive that goal. AKA CHEATING"

The following Pokémon feature is already gone in Gen 5, so there's no need to mention that.

I'm going to go further than the event haters and say version-exclusive Pokémon (and all other stupidly difficult to obtain Pokémon, which incidentally includes events). You can make all the claims you want about it promoting trading and social interaction (no longer true with wi-fi); the only reason there are version exclusives is to sell more games. It's a very simple and successful marketing strategy, but it's terrible as a game. I don't like having one game for the price of two (or even up to 5, across multiple platforms if you want to catch 'em all).

Nintendo reasons for that?:

Just saying :P It's always about the money in the end! I mean, you don't think it didn't occur to them that remakes of the old games would make them a whole pile of bejamins from the generation who played the orignals?

I really hate event Pokemon because in my opinion, it is the dumbest idea that ever got put in any Pokemon game. To get them, you either have to drive several miles to a Toys R us or download it during a fixed distribution period that can be missed if you have plans during that time or if your connection decides to crap out. Not only that, but there are many countries that are completely exempt and can't get them at all! It's even worse when you realize that the event is really a lock and key effect. Everything that they give you is already on the cartridge and I can't stand the idea of having to download some stupid key to "unlock" it when it should be obtained normally!

Definitely natures. I've always found them pretty annoying in the games. I get how they /can/ be helpful. But other times... they're just a pain. I tend to only catch one of each species of Pokemon and if it's a Pokemon on my party, I go straight to training. It can get rather annoying when the nature of the caught Pokemon doesn't match my battle strategy.

I would also be rid of HMs. Or at least make it to where you can make a Pokemon forget an HM. I guess that kind of defeats the purpose... but sheesh... HMs have been the most annoying part of games since Generation I. I like having a full party of Pokemon. I've never had an HM slave (unless I was doing a challenge) and never plan to. Makes it hard for me to figure out which Pokemon learns which HM. Or if I'll teach the HM at all. (by that I mean fly. which you don't actually need.)
