If you where to "Design" a Pokemon game, how would it be?

-Make a 3D version of a current Pokemon Game (Not DP. Maybe a GSC remake, just so you can add a few DP Pokemon).
-Instead "handpicking" Pokemon that you catch (Collosseum and XD), you can actually catch wild Pokemon in grass, caves, water, etc.

I'd call it:

Pokemon: Metal Generation

I;ve always wanted a Wii Game called Pokemon:Contest Coleuseums. So like Contests in the Anime. What would be nice was a MMORPG that had you starting out as Proffesseur Oaks neighbour kid, and then you says, I have a bundle of newly bred Pokes, you can go and pick one! And then it continues, and there is a choice betwen moving you poke while battling, and turn based battle. All four regions, contest and battle, Frontier Brains and Gym Leaders, you can make friends and travel with them, and such.

Just like any other game. Boring and easy storyline. And I'd see what to implement (like Wi-Fi, Contests, Battle Tower, etc) to make it better. Just to follow the tradition.

Otherwise, if I wanted to make a revolutionary game, it would be an MMORPG. You could visit any or all the regions known up to now. But, first of all, there are lots of things I'd do to make it better. Normally, you catch six Pokémon and level them up until you beat everyone without caring about IVs or natures. I'd do something about IVs. I can't erase them, but maybe there'd be a way to increase them until they all reach 31 IVs in everything (and it becomes a fair game). I don't know what I'd do about natures, but you'd have some way to check it before catching Pokémon so that you don't have to have a bad team before access to a daycare. And to make training easier, it should be much quicker to level up and you'll always know your EVs. There'd be ways to reduce the ones you don't want aside from berries. Also, egg moves would be able to be move tutor'd. All this to avoid extensive breeding and let you play with your wild Pokémon as a competitive matter. Otherwise, you'd just pass the game normally and then start to breed for a competitive team.

What you have stated to make the game "easier" for you, basically takes away the fun in the game, and the strategy, as well as time spent on the game. Allowing to increase a pokemon's IV's would result in a sub-standard competitive arena. If every pokemon had 31 IV's, then the uniqeness of pokemon would be lost. Egg moved attacks are called that for a reason. I have never found a problem with natures in-game. I defeated the elite four with a serious Infernape and Bold Luxray etc. It doesn't matter until you get competitive. quickwer levelling up will simply result in a shorter game. the creators would need to increase the levels of all the trainers, wild pokemon and gym leaders, and would need to cram all the cities with a gym, just so you don't level up too quick to exploit the game. Besides all this, another major point is advertising. If the creators made the games as easy as you wanted, then many of the players out there wouldn't pass 150 - 200 hours on their game. Many players now are over 500+ hours, and most of this time is used breeding and training etc. The games will become less enjoyable, because it would become easier.

I'd like to see maybe a more thought out plot-line, something a bit different. I don't know exactly what, but most bad guys try to take over the world with pokemon. So it gets kind of boring after awhile to me. Instead of the plotline just ending, why not have little side quests about people nabbing pokemon. So you're not just stuck battling the same people. (But that's just my opinion)

I think it'd be cool like in "Pokemon Ranger" How your character doesn't look so stubby and mushed together, and you can run diagonally instead of one basic route.

Also what about designing your own character? Like have different outfits and hairstyles, the basic form of female/male would be the same. Though what about having different clothes? Even different hair color! Winning contests for coupons and getting different hairstyles so everyone doesn't look the same.
I'm not usually one to care for looks but seeing all the Pokemon ID cards people make, it would be a great idea to get a unique character seeing as a lot of the characters in the ID are edited/made and look really awesome.

The fighting style gets pretty old too, I mean I love the game but after awhile the same battling gets tiring and I usually just put it away somewhere until years later when I feel the urge to play.

Why not be able to play as your pokemon during the battle? You know being able to dodge attacks with your stylus. Maybe show the actual area instead of saying "It continues to rain.." and have the rain appear. Why not have the rain all the time while you play as your pokemon on the battle field. Using the area around you to your advantage like hiding behind boulders nearby or something.

And what about not just having to beat all the gym leaders and the others after it? Why can't you become a gym leader yourself or even the top of the elite four! Or just enter pokemon contests instead of battling.

These are just opinions on things I'd like to see different.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe anyone has pulled out a successful Pokémon MMORPG.
(As in: It would catch many peoples' attention)

If it wasn't for the copyrights i would have up a server on my own PC and make an online and thats really not that hard, i have already a lot of experience on that from my old Zelda MMORPG but it went down because the lack of trusty people to help me on it =.=

I like the MMO ideas (like everyone else...)! Pokemon could use something like that. And you could join up with any enemy team you want, so that if it were popular (which it obviously would be), there would be thousands of trainers in large groups against each other and with different goals, instead of just thousands of people going on Pokemon Master quests...

This would never happen, but I've always wanted a rated T Pokemon game. At least E-10... Colloseum and XD's region and basic plot would return, but Cipher would be more dark. The game would have a more compex and serious storyline, and Shadow Pokemon that are really evil. Perhaps a small amount of blood just to make it more realistic (I mean, when a Scyther uses Slash on a Furret or something, it's only natural that at least cut would appear). And, you could join Cipher. Depending on how you went through the game, you could come to different conclusions. For example, you could join up with Cipher, then once you gained their trust, steal some Shadow Pokemon and destroy their base somehow, and completely betray them. Or you could do the opposite. Or whatever you wanted.
