Hi all. I'm come to these forums to obtain the knowledge of ROM hacking! My main goal is to introduce the fiction of a community I'm from called the SCP Foundation, with the Pokemon game Fire Red. While I'm here I'd like to gain a firm grasp on scripting and re-texturing in order to reach this goal. If you're intrigued as to what I'm referring to, go ahead and have a look for yourself! (Apparently I'm not allowed to post links here. Feel free to Google it!)

Haha, anyways welcome here! I hope you'll enjoy yourself. You can surf ROM Hacks, you can create your own, its all fun! In my opinion the funnest ROM Hacks are of Generation 3. The Gen 1 and 2 ROM Hacks are okay, but Gen 3 has always been my favorite.

First off, welcome to Pokecommunity Dr. Optimal! Second, there's a massive board here dedicated to Emulation and ROM Hacking, it's called Emulation and ROM Hacking. In my opinion the funnest ROM Hacks are of Generation 3.

I won't doubt it, but I heard Generation 3 is pretty limited when it comes to creating a hack. From what I've seen and experienced already, generation 2 is the easiest version to hack, but nonetheless, I'll probably play them myself.

Forgot to mention, ...I'm ...not that well versed when it comes to these games. :3c

I never had the chance to play them when I was a kid, was always more of a playstation fellow. I just started playing roms last year, and that's pretty much all of the experience I've had. Feel free to smack me upside the head if say anything dumb. :P
