2nd Gen I'm a noob need help.

Hi everyone. I have a problem with understanding the learning system. I have recently evolved my weedle to kakuna and beedrill and it has learned neither harden nor fury attack. This surprised me. I don't think it's a bug, but how weird is that if I catch a wild Beedrill it knows fury attack, but if I level it myself it won't. Besides, I haven't even come around wild Beedrills... Any tips, comments are appreciated.

Would help if I knew what game this was. In Red and Blue, Kakuna doesn't learn Harden. Also in Red and Blue, Beedrill gets Fury Attack at level 12. idk what else to say about it, but if that wasn't enough, please use the Q&A thread at the top of the section. Please. Please. PLEASE. So tired of people missing them. -sigh- Now that I've wasted enough time here, I have homework to do. And I guess it's worth noting Red and Blue are a bit notorious for random things like this. I think there are some gym leaders or Elite Four that have moves on certain Pokemon that aren't really supposed to learn it. It's really strange, lol.
