I'm Going to Pokémon Rocks America Tomorrow

    It is at Great Lakes Crossing in Detroit, MI, and I was wondering if anyone who has been to one of the events, in the past few years, could fill me in on what It's like at one of the events.
     
    Can you start by telling me what pokemon rocks america is???
     
    Sorry :embarrass , I figured it was a pretty popular event. But, it's a Pokemon Expo with a GBA Tourny, Card Tourny, Downloadables for your RSE/FRLG games, and much more...

    Basically, everything Pokemon.

    Oh its one of those things where you can get mew and deoxys and stuff.

    Like an nintendo event. I always wanted to go to one. But never had the chance

    You mean Journey Across America? I called it Pokemon Rocks America too at times, because it sounds cool. XD But yeah.... I went to one that was here in Kansas a few weeks back... it was awesome!
    I got a Rukario plushie and Pikachu plushie! x3 I also got a Pikachu patch, and a pin!
    That was fun, I hope theres one next year too!
    I almost started hyperventilating when I saw Pikachu walking around... O o I dunno why really... because it was just a costume, but still... for about 3 minutes all I could say was '....Pika!.....Pika!!...' and my friends were all " ....Yes... we see Pika...". ^^;;
    Needless to say, we went to see it. Munchlax was adorable too. x3

    Ah, it was the same thing when I saw Meowth last year. I had fallen into a truck, so my hip was bruised. I couldn't walk, couldn't sit, couldn't lie down. The instant I saw Meowth/human in a costume, I went running. xD

    Yes, we all see Pika. xP

    It was a great event last year, and it actually revived my love for the TCG game. Which is great, as I won second place in a tourney today!

    All in all, it was a memorable experience. That's why I'm going back this year. If I could only find my games... D: (Yeah, I'll be going to the Boston one, so PM me if anyone wants to meet up. Or not.)
     
    Well, when I got there the person in the pikachu costume was running away XD. They had everything from GBA, GCN, and DS games to try, TVs playing the Anime, to a giant ceramic Ash and Lucario :) (at least I think it was Lucario). Lines were a mile long for downloading Pokemon, though the line for Celebi was probably 3 people heh. A few cosplayers and many little kids with their parents, wearing Lucario hats.

    We were only allowed 4 Pokemon out of the top 20 favorites. I chose Blastoise, Raikou, Umbreon, and Tyranitar for my Emerald.

    Though, the best part about the event was going to the union room, and battling random people, walking around near us and in line.

    I would definitely go again next year, maybe even today If I'm lucky hehe.
     
    I might go to the one in DC. That is as close to Baltimore Maryland as I'll get.

    This means I have to catch a train and what not. It'd be too embarrasing to ask my girlfriend or a friend for a ride. But a train to DC isnt so bad.
