And i'm worried. I've got a REALLY awesome team. The basis is:

    Gyarydos Level 27
    Breloom Level 30
    Combusken Level 30
    Swellow Level 27
Numel Level 22 - Hoping to get a Camerupt before the next gym
    and Kirlia level 26.

Now, i'm EXTREMELY happy with this team, but i'm a little worried, because I just beat Norman, but these are the only Pokemon, in party OR box that are over level 20. Should I be changing it up, getting higher level Pokemon or something.

Or should I be fine with my team? I'm playing Emerald btw.

    Thanks to anyone who posts.

You can use any Pokemon to beat the game as it's fairly easy, but you would have to have your Pokemon at appropriate levels (maybe a level or two stronger than the gym leader's top Pokemon). Also, generally, people only train three Pokemon at a time; that's why they are mostly five to ten levels ahead than usual which is really good.

Now since the sixth gym leader, Winona, is specialized in Flying types, Breloom and Combusken are out of the team for this moment; no questions asked. Solely train and level up Gyarados, Swellow, Numel, and Kirlia. Before you face Winona, have your Pokemon (which should be at their last evolution point) be around levels thirty-five to thirty-six. This'll make it much easier for yourself.

Also, if you can, post the movesets for Gyarados, Swellow, Numel, and Kirlia, so that we can switch some moves around that'll help you out now and later in the game.

    Cool, thanks for the help:)

I beat Winona, using Gyarados' Dragon Dance to take out Altaria, which surprised me. Here's my movesets:

    Numel
    Level 27

    Growl
    Tackle
    Magnitude
    Ember

    Kirlia
    Level 29

    Psychic
    Confusion
Shock Wave 0 I have this due to the lack of electric types in my team:(
    Teleport

    Swellow
    Level 29

    Endeavour
    Steel Wing
    Fly
    Wing Attack

    Combusken
    Level 34

    Quick Attack
    Peck
    Double Kick
    Ember

    Gyarados
    Level 31

    Surf
    Tackle
    Bite
    Dragon Rage

    Breloom
    Level 31

    Counter
    Mach Punch
    Mega Drain
    Headbutt

Also, all Pokemon in my party have the PokeRus, and I dunno what it does, but it's just in all of them.

    Thanks again:)

^^ Pokerus is a virus item that infects your pokemon. If youve heard of EV training then you'll understand that the pokerus gives double the amount of EV points earned. If you don't know what EV is then look it up.

    Hey! I'm Pokerus! :)

Well, your next GYM will be 7th and Last is 8th...

Prepare for some Dark and Grass Pokemon. They will help...

As for the 6th, a good Thunderbolt and a Freezing attack for Altaria will finish them all! :)

P.S. = Beaten the Game Multiple Times! :)

Well, if you need help with the 7th/8th Gyms also, then here we go.

The Twins in the Seventh Gym use a Solrock and a Lunatone. Their typing means that a good water Pokemon should deal with them easily. Failing that, Fighting or Dark would prove effective also. (Dark would be good, as you could deal with the trainers in the Gym effectively also)

Wallace in the 8th Gym uses Water, but has some annoying Ice moves as well. Take a strong grass type and a strong electric type with you, e.g. Raichu and Breloom. However, if you cannot be bothered catching a Pikachu in the Safari Zone, just level up your Kirlia, even after it evolves into Gardevoir, and Shock Wave can prove itself useful.

If you need help with the E4, you can PM me, and I can give you more advice.

    Haha...
Good Luck! You need it... You're near the Elite Four in Hoenn! :)

    P.S. = Want more help? :)

    Watch out, though.

The level spike might catch you off guard.

I use 6 Pokemon, and I was forced to ditch pretty much all of them, as they were only around level 35 when I faced the twins. Tough luck. >.<

In the Elite Four, I find DD + Sweep or CM + Sweep is really effective.

thats weird too see your pokemon are early 30's & late 20's when i had emerald i had swampert when i beat flannery & everyone else was at level 37 by the time i got to norm you shoould go to grass with high level pokemon & train to give you a higher advantage

no effence but your team gets owned by: Water,Eletric and Flying but anyway good luck with the rest of the game :)
