This thread can be used to post images of any type that you have made for your hack. Users can then give a review of your images with constructive criticism, and rate your image(s) on a scale from 1-10, if they wish.

The global PokéCommunity rules, ROM-Hacking forum rules and following rules all apply here:
    • Only images pertaining to rom hacking and ratings/reviews.
You are only allowed to post images such as sprites, titlescreen screenshots, tilesets or block lists, or pretty much any other image you can insert into a Pokémon rom. You can only post said image(s) that you want reviewed/rated or review/rate images that have already been posted. Do not ask questions about the images, send a PM to the artist or a moderator instead.

    • No stealing.
Only post images for reviewing if you made them. Do not steal the work of others and claim it as your own. Additionally, do not steal the images posted here for your own hacks without permission. If caught, could result in receiving infraction points, a suspension or even a permanent ban.

    • No requests.
Do not request images of any kind to be made for you. This thread is only for reviews and ratings.

    • No maps.
This is a separate thread from the map review/rating thread and is intended for the actual images inside the rom rather than the design of a map itself. Visit HERE for the map review/rating thread.

    • You must review an image before posting your own image(s) for review.
If you want to post an image then you must review another image first.
Exception rule: If there are no recent images to review or you have already reviewed all the images within the last two pages, then you must make the situation clear in your post.

Below are the structured templates for posting images for reviews/ratings and for reviewing/rating images already posted.

    Structured Template for Image Posting

Game Name: The title of the Pokémon game the image was created for (i.e. Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon FireRed).

Project Title: Optional, hack title can be included (i.e. ChaosBlack, AshGray, et cetera).

Image Type: List the purpose of the image (i.e. overworld sprite, titlescreen, tileset, battlescreen, et cetera)

Additional Details/Description: Give some helpful comments on the background information of the image to help the reviewer/rater understand what he/she is reviewing/rating.

Image: Include an image that you want reviewed or rated if that's what you're trying to go for. Make sure that you didn't post a broken link and if the image looks large, put spoiler tags around it to avoid stretching the page.

    Structured Template for Image Reviewing/Rating

Image being reviewed/rated: Either link or quote the post of the image(s) you want to review.

    Review: Your review.

Rating: Optional, you may post a rating between 1-10. No percentages.

Now here are two examples on how to review/rate an image. The first is the right way and the second is the wrong way.

    Game Name: Pokémon: Ruby

    Project Title: Pokémon: Discovery

    Image Type: Trainer sprite

Additional Details/Information: I created this image for the rom-hacking team that I'm supporting per the team leader's request and before I send him the finished product, I'd like to get some insight on what I should change. The image is based on the evil duo associated with Renegade Company, with these two known as Rex and Bruce whom you will face several times throughout the hack.

Review: I love the position of the trainers in the image. Nothing like two bros back to back with their arms crossed, lol. If I were to play a hack, I'd enjoy facing these two several times throughout the game. I can tell you put a red R on the fedoras which makes me wonder beyond the image: "Could Renegade Company be related to Team Rocket in any way?" I'll obey the rules posted and PM you directly rather than start an off-topic discussion in this thread, though. I get the sense though that if they are an "Evil duo" as you stated in your additional information, then why is the one in the orange hair winking and smiling? The facial expression I believe could use a little adjustment to make the orange-haired character look a little bit more evil if that's what you're going for. Besides that, I'd say it's a wonderful trainer sprite.

    Rating: 9/10, great job!

    Closing Statements

I know it may seem like it's funny how bad that example may be, but you'd be surprised. Please follow all the posted rules and if you have ANY questions at all, feel free to PM any of the posted Emulation & ROM Hacking forum moderators.

Since no one seems to want to kick it off, I guess I will lol.

    Game Name: Pokemon Ruby

    Project Title: Pokemon Discovery

    Image Type: Titlescreen

Details: You end up on an island stranded from the rest of society. This image shows you and your eevee trying to survive, as you sit next to a low-lit fire.

Wow I was hoping for something like this after seeing a thread in the Game Dev section. Let's kick this off then, lol.

Review: It is a really nice titlescreen, like really nice. The amount of detail put into it doesn't give too much away and doesn't say too little at the same time. I like how you left the player's face balckened so whoever''s playing it can assume their role easier (if you were going for that). That only gripes I have are the colors which seem like they detract from the beautiful scenery (probably ROM limitation) and the Gamefreak logo still being there with the wrong year. I don't think Gamefreak started this game in 2013. :P

Rating: over 9000!!!! (jk, 9/10 really good work)

    Game Name: Pokemon Fire Red

    Project Title: Pokemon BlackWhite

    Image Type: Titlescreen

Details: I don't have much to show other than map updates, so I'll have to use a titlescreen for now. It displays what we all have come to know as N looking over the region with Zekrom (You all may notice that that is the ending screen for black2 version :P)

I'm glad you like the idea. I hope it picks up!

First of all thanks for the rating, yeah it could use a little brightening up and maybe I'll do that in the future. I still haven't touched the gamefreak inc thing but thats for bringing it up, I'll definitely fix that soon.

Review: I love the vividness of your titlescreen. The image comes off as well done, even if it an ending screen, you inserted it well and it looks nice with the buttons. The only thing I dislike is the font used for Teh Blazer. I think if it was in the same font as the GameFreak Inc font, it'd look nice but hey that's only an opinion.

    Now for my sprite works.

    Game Name: Pokemon Fire Red

Project Title: Pokemon Valley of Shadows

    Image Type: Pokemon Sprite

Details: This is for my Shadow Pokemon project. Actually it's on public since I shared it. Not all of course.
I decrease the amount of the aura for a better look. Doesn't look good enough but still, wal-ah! I will not
show the big ones. Since I resized them and looked ugly at the end.
