Implementation of a working lighting script?

    Hello guys!

I'm not very skilled with scripting and just started working with the Essentials Pack recently. In the demo maps, I noticed the shadow script and wanted to ask, if there is any compatible lighting script (lantern emitting light when the world is in 'night mode') working with it?

I tried several scripts, but after I implemented them, they seem to have gotten in the way of other scripts, the game gave me some script errors and crashed.

So, is there any way to implement such a script? It would be really helpful!

The best way to do that woudl be puting a fog over your map. You create your fog layer in photoshop or any other program which have layers and make the light parts on lets say windows and lanterns. Then you create an event which will put fog on the map on the nigh t time :)

That's a nice idea. But then the light will be on fix points, or am I wrong?

I mean, the player moves and then the camera scrolls the map. Wouldn't the fog move with the player and then gets shifted, so that the light spots are on the wrong position then?

€dit: Okay, now I got what you meant :D I created the lightmap, used it as fog and it looks great. Thanks for your post!
