4th Gen Improvements to pokemon D/P?

    I was thinking of some improvements that could be made to pokemon D/P (diamond & pearl).
    When you are surfing, it is so slow!
    There are only 2 fire-types before you beat the elite 4.

    I'm sure that other people know improvements that could be made...

    That you could customize your characters hair, Clothes, shoes and other body related items, Also I wish Nintendo made Hoppip avalible before the E4.

    Platinum fixed those.

    Also, character customization. I'm crossing my fingers of hopes of seeing it next gen.
    That has got to be the most wanted feature in the games as of yet, at least from what I've seen.
     
    I agree with the people who said Character customization will be a very good improvement to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

    People of different races and characters play the Games and they need to express that by showing how they look or how they are different to other people. I'm sure that Nintendo will think this through and let people have this option in the next Gen because most fans are looking forward to this and I'm sure it Isn't that hard to program into the games, as I have seen it featured in a couple of games already.

    Another idea is that players could use their Poke money to buy more accessories and clothes for them and their Pokemon, or have certain items unlock certain clothes or hats. Also the main character can only change in houses that lets him or her use their wardrobe.

    I agree with the character customization and with the slow surfing!
     
    You never seen or heard of platinum have yeh! Well its DP but with more fire pokemon faster speed(in everything seriously in battle not even a second after the text the attack goes through not a second to wait(but then again it takes away the suspence if it missed or not)(did they do that on purpose?)(lol super big 4 parenthese thing)) and the p-tech has 2 buttons so yeah thats all they got covered. Oh and difficulty went down but only cause after the E4 ytou can battle supped up gym leaders and those partner people like riley and then later on the final battle you have with your rival involves level 85 pokemon so yeah.
     
    I would go with the customization thing as well...and a little more challenging plot as well...

    Yes, I have heard of Platinum but I was thinking of improvments that could be made to the existing Diamond & Pearl.
     
    I want the next pokemon games to be able to wear different clothes.
    Also to be able to change hair color and can join the enemy's team (Team Rocket etc.)
    or join the Police.
     
    Well Platinum made surfing go faster now and the GTS is much better. The only thing they could do is to make the story better and let us design/create our own trainer. ;]
     
    *looks at avatar* I would be one happy boy to be able to have my character in a Pokemon game.

    The first thing I'm going to say is, better starters, I hate 75% of the 4th Generation Pokemon, including the starters, Luxray and Alakazam stopped me from regretting buying Pokemon Pearl. At least let the other two starters be obtainable after you finish the story or something.
     
    I for one am against the whole customization thing. I mean we can also go into the whole sprite thing. You would need back sprites for every shirt and every color of that shirt then for the head gear and every color for every head gear and then the fron sprite and then if not head gear then hair and it could delay the game at least 1 month. also i find that a bit stupid i mean this game isnt supposed to be something ground breaking awesome just something simple to please the kids and help stop boredom for teens. And so you can go strategic on everyone's ass.
     
    With the growing trend of Online features in Pokemon with Wifi, I think if not next Generation, then the one after will need customization.
     
    Customization would be good, but isn't the game about pokemon rather then dressing your character up?
    I was thinking they could have a feature where they allow you to dress your own pokemon up (not just in contests) for battles and stuff.
    Also (this might be a bit silly) having a 'egg generator' where you could choose an egg of whatever pokemon you wanted, from whatever region. Excludes lengenderies.

    I think that they should stop using things like time space and God (Arceus) and just make good pokemon that are strong that people want to look at and go wow.
    I agree with all the above statements as well :)
     
    The Character Customization(The Sims + Pokémon, my 2 favorite games :P)
    HM Dive - it was fun going underwater!
    A better animation of Screech - OMG! It looked better in Generation 3
    Let Palkia use Fly - it has wings, so why not...
     
    It flies in The Rise of Darkrai, along with Dialga and Darkrai, but Mew, Drifblim, Giratina(both forms) and Arceus(none of them has wings), can learn it, but not Palkia... :/
