To boost your Pokemon's moves you can give them several items such as Incense, Plates and items like the Magnet and Sharp beak. My question is, are any of these items stronger than the other. Will the Flame plate boost the power of fire moves more than the charcoal will?

Nope, they're all 20% boosts. Life Orb and Choice Band/Specs are basically the only one that vary (50% for band/specs, 30% for Life Orb) - and they deal with all attacks, the others are pretty much different words for the same effect. Oh yeah, except Gems, which are 50% boosts, but they go away after they're used, so they're not as helpful (depending on what you have - with Acrobatics, it's a good thing!)
