A simple idea of mine is to increase the evolution levels of all pokemon to increase the difficulty and the playtime of my hack. It always seemed weird that something like caterpie reaches its highest stage at level 10 and then you just have another 90 levels of the same pokemon.

An example would be to increase charmanders evolution level to maybe around the 20-25 mark, and then charmeleons to the 55-60 mark. That way its not too hard to get to the final stage (as in its not level 70 or something), but it extends the challenge of evolving pokemon past the point of where its a bit of a walkover.

Also for pokemon like metapod and magikarp i would add some extra but fairly basic moves to make using them a bit easier ie: maybe metapod learns confusion, the logic being its slowly transforming into the psychic using butterfee and even though it cant move it can still use its mind to attack.

Use GH3S. It is a tool that directly modifies everything about a Pokémon. From moves to evolution methods and evolution levels :)
