For the first time, I'm gonna try a Nuzlocke of a game I never ever touched before. Wish me luck guys. I will need it.

Now, I know it is stupid and all, but once I was able to get my hands on Pokemon Moon, I couldn't stop myself from playing it. So, now, this is gonna be a Pokemon Moon Nuzlocke.

Part 1A

What's goin' on guys? Here I am, back after about thirty minutes of gameplay, ready to share the notes of my travel diary.
The game starts with Prof. Kukui introducing us to Alola, with a cute Rockruff and a Pickapeck by his side. Tells us all about Alola, asks our name, asks us to choose a face(lol!), and yada yada..

Here we are peoples, somewhere in the Kanto region, taking a look at the beauty of Alola through the 32 inch screen in front of us. There, on the desk is an airplane ticket for Alola.
The scene shifts to a blonde girl running, inside what I earlier assumed to be a maze, and trying to escape some white clothed goons, who were after something inside of the bag she had in her arms. But, they were too many in number, and very soon, had her surrounded. Suddenly, a streak of light escaped outside the bag, and continued to travel upwards in a very swift manner, collided with the glass roof(I assume) with the moon and blue-black sky in the background, and there appeared in bold the words I had been waiting since eternity.. "Pokémon Moon"

3 months later..

​

Here we are guys, infront of a beautiful, quaint looking house which seems to be mine. There, on the verandah, we have our mom inhaling the fresh Alolan air, with her trusty Meowth by her side. Yup! That's my house!

​

Feeling too lazy, she asks her Meowth to wake us up. Four in the afternoon, and we are sleeping soundly in our bed.

​

We wake up, meet our mother, have a few small talks, when the ringing of the doorbell makes our eardrums flutter slightly to and fro. As we head towards the door, this guy, Kukui or Kakuna, or whatever he is, barges into our house, shirtless, and with an unbuttoned lab coat. I mean, look at his guts! Now then, we are informed that he is our mom's cousin.. Wait.. I think he is our cousin.. Uh.. I don't exactly remember. Dosen't matter. Now, lets proceed.
So, yeah, he speaks with our mom and us about some sort of kakuna or something; no, its kahuna; the island kahuna to be more specific; says that they are amazing and so on. Before leaving, he asks us to go with him. We change into our travel outfit(I look so cool!), bearing a striking resemblence to the one of Ash's in Alola, and get outta on our journey.

I wanted to explore a bit, but this guy won't let us! We follow him through a few streets, with palm trees and lush green bush with all sorts of flowers on both sides. We pass a patch of tall grass, trainers battling and reach our destination.. Wait.. Where on earth is the kakuna.. oops, the kahuna? Kukui says he thinks that the guy is late, and enforces on us the responsibility of searching for him.

Part 1B

Before we run off, we get a slight glimpse of the same blonde girl we saw trying to flee those goons three months back. Here she was, going the same way we were supposed to go along, but was slightly ahead of us, and blabbering something to.. her bag!!?? We soon follow her, and see her running towards a wooden, dangerous-looking bridge.

As soon as she was there, she opened the zipper that had been masking the contents of that mysterious bag and released.. a blue pokemon? I sure didn't expect that!

​

What pokémon is that? I found asking myself, but soon found that I was too engrossed, as well as lazy to do that. Now, on with the game..
As the blue pokémon approached towards the other end of the bridge, a flock of angry looking spearows suddenly appeared outta nowhere and began attackin the poor guy.

​

We soon catch up to her, and are given the choice to ask her a question out of two; 'Who are you?' or 'What's wrong?' Well, the first pokemon game where we seem to have a voice box down our throat.

​

Anywho, like a normal guy would do, we ask her whats wrong, and she conveys to us the situation. We try to reach there as quickly as possible, with the dangerous looking bridge fidgeting under our weight.

​

We soon find ourselves amongst the ruckus, and cover the little blue guy, so that the spearows could rip us apart instead!(yeah, that's me.. soo selfless)

​

And then, suddenly..

​

And as they don't say, looks sometimes can't be deceiving, the bridge is actually dangerous, and suddenly breaks off letting us descend towards the river at an alarming rate.. But then, a yellow streak of light..

approached us from above and took us and our little blue guy to safer grounds. We can now see that the mysterious being is a pokemon with two totem pole-like masks.

​

It soon leaves us with the girl, who informs us about its identity, the pokemon is one of the Island Guardians, its name being Tapu Koko. While the girl was passing down her knowledge, that same blue pokemon seemed to have found something sparkly on the ground.

The other human, assuming it to be ours, asked us to take it, and we gladly did so! It was a bracelet of some sort, and we put it in our key items pocket. The lady asked us to escort her to the village, since going through the path would be pretty difficult for her because of her phobia of pokemon(suggest me a name guys), and hence, we returned to the same place we once had to leave to look for the kahuna.

Edit : I found out that the blue guy was a Cosmog, which evolves into a Solgaleo or a Lunaala..! Wait WHAT?!!?!!

Part 1C

Here we are guys, with the third and final installment of part 1. Now, on with the game..
As soon as we reach our destination, we see a flock of people, actually gathered to welcome the lazy butt, the kahuna guy.

This kahuna, by the name of Hala, as most of you guys already know by now, is the person who will furnish us with our starter. There they are, as he takes them out of their pokeballs.

Now guys, I've already made up my mind, and Rowlet, here I choose you.. .. ..
Wait what! The lazy butt says that, in order to truly have it as my partner, the Rowlet will have to accept me as its trainer! So, here I am, standing at a distance of two metres from the grass type starter, on the same high raise platform the pokémon had initially been placed for us to choose, waiting for its approval.

​

Following this were ten super tense seconds, with everyone glaring at me, as if I was some sort of delicious food, waiting for a chance to escape. Then, finally, the pokemon jumped twice, and ran straight into my arms.

As for my part, you won't beleive I'm still squealing like a 5-year old girl who received her favourite dress in a christmas present. I was like, 'OMG, its soooo cute'.
Hala then says that the Rowlet has chosen us to be its lifelong partner. Man, this reminds me, this is a nuzlocke! WELP!
Anywho, Kukui then gives us a Pokedex, which kind of looks a Rotom.

Part 2A

Whats goin' on guys? Nish here, and I am very excited to continue on our journey to take over Alola. Lets go..

Now, as we finish off with the formalities and introductions(kukui introducing the lady as his assistant, Lily), I immediately had my Robin's(how's the nickname?) nature checked out. Appears that he has an adamant nature, and is very finicky. So lucky of me! As we head down the stairs, and take the way to our home, we encounter a very energetic, a happy go lucky guy, pestering me for a battle.

​

Hala appears from behind and introduces him to us as Hau, his grandson, and coaxes us to battle him.

The fact that we can now see the trainers during the battles makes the game all the more effluent and realistic.
Now, this guy is super easy to beat right now, with a level 5 Popplio, which Robin was able to two shot with Leafage, without breaking a sweat. Rowlet levels up for the first time in the game.

After the battle ends, he enthusiatically tells us

that the battle gave him chicken skin! He means goosebumps, right?

​

Hala congrulates us upon having a great battle, while showing a sudden interest and borrowing our sparkling stone, promising to return it to us the following day during the festival, as we now head on towards our house.

​

​

Upon making it to our place, we get our Robin acquainted with mom, who instantly falls in love with the pokemon. While we go throuh this, mom's Meowth and our starter share their greetings in pokemon language.

​

The next day..

​

​

It is sunset, and we soon find ourselves beside mom, who is standing on the same verandah, giving the same Titanic pose we saw during the beginning of our journey, enjoying the beautiful sunset of Alola, when the sound of a doorball brings her out of her trance. As we proceed to open the door, we confront our very same mannerless and rude cousin who somehow managed to become the professor of the region barging into the house.

He now informs us about the soon-to-commence festival, while asking us to accompany him. We follow him outside the house, down the route(opposite to the one we took earlier) where he and his Rockruff demonstrate to us the methods to catch a pokemon. Duh, I already got a ten-year experience in this matter.

And the way he throws the pokeball towards the wild pickapeck, looks like a very skinny golem about to use Rock Throw!

Anywho, furnishing us with some pokeballs, he leaves us there for some exploring. We will now have our first encounter on this route. Our first encounter iiiis..

​

a Pickipeck! So we catch it, and name it Rake. Weird name, I know. This pokemon has got Skill Link (still can't beleive my luck, I got exactly what I wanted) and a gentle nature. We battle a few wild pokemon and gain some valuable experience.

Part 2B

What's goin' guys? Nish here, as we proceed to the next page of my diary..
Very soon, its time for our very first battle, and the opponent is some youngster, I think, and the first pokemon we face against a random trainer is

an Alolan rattata!??! How is that fare?
Anyways, we kill his rattata with one Leafage from our O.P. adamant Robin. Now, the next trainer we face has got some completely non-understandable jumble of words in store for us.

She says, "I will show you my sister who I am super close to." Someone.. Anyone.. Explain..

After the battle, hey.., it seems that our Robin has gotten a bit dirty. We now clean our pokemon with the tyranitar brush

, feed him some green beans(which make the li'l cutie very happy)

, and rub his tummy, which in turn tickles him a lot

.
One thing for sure guys, I am in love with this game and Rowlet. I literally had tears escaping my eyes has I did all this.
So we proceed down the route battling some trainers, picking up a Potion, Poke ball and a Parlyz heal. As we walk down the path, and draw closer to our destination, we can already hear the festival music! Whoa!

Once we are here, we see various people and children, chatting, laughing, all of 'em in a festive mood. Hala approches us and informs us about the pokemon battles fought to impress the island guardian. We approach the platform in the centre, where Hala asks us to battle his grandson once again.

This time, our rival has got a level 6 Pichu as his first pokemon, which can easily be 2HKOed with Leafage, if you've got your pokemon trained good enough. Next up is the watery guy, who does nothing but growl and pound. Easy victory once again!

Once we are over with this, Hala congratulates us on a well deserved victory, and informs us that Tapu Koko would be pleased with me. Yeah, like winning an amateur battle against two Pokes would please a deity! He also returns our sparkling stone in the form of a samma wamma bracelet swag, which he calls the z-ring.

​

​

Kukui then informs us about the island challenges, and asks us to take part and try to become an Island Challenge Champion. We head back to our house with Lily and her Cosmog wishing us goodbye.

Part 3A

Hey guys! Whats up? Lets straightaway jump on to the next chappie of our Alola journey. We head off towards the door, and this time.. No one barges in! There's no way that's Kukui. So, we open them, and who do we have here? Oh! Its Lillie! She informs us about Professor's invitation to his house on Route 1. While this was going on, mom decided to come outta the house, get acquainted with the girl and give us some pocket money. Thanks mom!

​

​

Anywho, we head on towards the lab, battling some trainers in the way, one of them having, something special to say.

​

​

'Lets go, kneecaps!'.. What the hell did you just say!?!?

​

As soon as me and Lillie approach Kukui's lab, we are shocked to learn about Jerry being chased upon by Tom inside the house. Wait.. That's not Tom and Jerry!

​

​

Ooh! That's actually our cousin encouraging his Rockruff to try new moves on himself. Now that's wild!
We are now informed by the professor about the presence of a strange pokemon called Rotom which can bond itself with various machines, including our dex :

He now fuses the Rotom with our pokedex, and here we have people.. our 'THE ROTOM DEX? So cool, isn't it?
He also provides us with an Island Challenge Amulet, something identical to a badge case with four nichés instead of eight.

​

​

Lillie's abode is there on the lab itself,

looks like she has got a Murkrow.. Whoa! She was scared of pokemon, right? Something's not right..
Lillie now takes us to the Pokemon Centre, and hey.. The PC sure looks cool!

​

There's this new addition to the centre,

the Café, where we could get some drinks and Moomoo milk for us and our pokés, and some free advice for the Island Challenges.
She now takes us to the Trainer's school. Prof. Kukui introduces us to the school and the teacher, who gives us the task of battling four trainers spread around the entire campus, as well as the building.
