    The Indigo Plateau Conference: Story
Over 50 years ago there was a brilliant man by the name of Charles Goodshow. He organized and created what is today known worldwide as the Official Pokemon League Competition. Trainers from around the world train alongside their pokemon, and gather at the Indigo Plateau in order to battle one another, all with the goal of achieving the coveted title of Pokemon Master. Thousands have stood up to the challenge over the years, and only a select few have prevailed. This tournament is held once every year, and the time for the competition to begin has arisen once more. New trainers have began their journeys, and old ones are honing their skills once more. Everyone wants to be able to call themselves THE pokemon master. And you are one of them.

Strangely enough, however, there is a group of trainers who have registered for the Indigo League. They have no name, but they all dress the same. Their motives are unknown for now, but whatever it is, it cannot be good. The title of Pokemon Master is a title that comes with publicity, fame, and power. All of which are essential in the eyes of the evil. Unless their is one with enough power, enough light, and enough friendship with their pokemon, whom is capable of standing against these foes, all of Kanto... no... the world... will be thrown into turmoil... or worse.

No matter what the cost, Zac will give his life for a friend, family memeber, or Pokemon. He loves and cares for Pokemon deeply, and will do anything to achieve his ultimate goal...to become a Pokemon Master.

Appearence: (should add that in form) Zac is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 95 lbs. He has blonde hair that stays down. He wears a yellow T-shirt, a thin short sleeved jacket which stays unbuttoned and has flame designs al over it, and black shorts that go past his knees. He wears black and red fingerless gloves and a baseball cap. He also wears yellow running shoes.

History: Zac grew up in Pallet Town with a normal life like everyone else. His mom died in a ship crash, and his father never really cared about him. He cared about all his other brothers though, which really made Zac mad sometimes. Zac has 3 older brothers.

Zac had a best friend, Keith, who lived with his top coordinator mom. His mom had tons of Pokemon and Zac usually went over there during the day to hang out. Often Keith's mom said she would gladly take Zac in if his father would let him.

One day, Zac got so mad at his father he asked if he could live with Keith from then on, and his father repleid yes. Zac raced home and tld Keith's mom and Zac lived there and him, Keith, Keith's mom, and Keith's dad came in and started moving Zac out.
Starter Pokemon: Hmmm...It's been a while since I've played with my favorite Pokemon...so how about Pikachu!

    Name: Nine
    Age: 14
    Gender: Female
Personality: Nine is very finiky and she hates to get dirty. She couldn't care less about dirt and grime, though she wants to become the best pokemon master in the world. She is on a quest to capture Mew her beloved and most best goal yet, but is far from it. It is her life long dream to catch it.

Appearence: Nine has bright blonde hair and wears a uniform similar to that of a Ninetails. her Shirt is a cream colored brown as well as her pants while the tips and frills are the colour of Ninetails's tails.

History: Nine was born a lover of all pokemon, but when she met her Eevee, she just fell in love with it. he hasn'r evolved it seeing as it wants to stay the way it is. Nine's parents were killed when she was young so she went to live with the leader of her village. Nine has been depressed ever since and she constantly has her mothers pet Ninetails follow her every where. This Ninetails oesn't battle.

    Starter Pokemon: Eevee =)

This is so old school! lol

    Name: Max Stryke

    Age: 14

    Gender: Boy

Personality: Max is a very independent, very anarchist guy. He loves to go against any rule that has been brought forward. He loves the adrenaline that comes with breaking a rule or law, but absolutely hates it when he gets caught or screws something up. However, that is a rather obvious attribute, as everyone dislikes it when they get caught. Max hopes to feel that same adrenaline and rush when he battles, and plans on capturing only strong pokemon for his team. He will not be that beginning trainer that automtically captures every pokemon that meets him; aka: Pidgey, Rattata...

Being calm and collected is not an attribute in Max's personality. He is hotheaded, and he knows it, but he does nothing to try and better himself, thus leading him to getting into trouble most of the time. Each time he's caught, he doesn't plan on getting better with new tactics, he simply tries again until he can successfully do it.

Appearance: Max has brown hair that's always hastily brushed. As he's always running around, why should he bother making it tidy if it'll simply get messed up again? Max also wears a plain white shirt and simple blue jeans. He has never been one for dressing up. He just wears what he wears and expresses himself in how he acts, not what he wears. When it gets cold, however, he will wear a long sleeved black shirt and a jacket.

History: Max didn't have a tragic past or a spoiled life. he simply grew up in a normal home with both parents and two younger siblings. One brother and one sister, who continually annoy and pester him simply because he is the oldest, thus leading him to stay away from home as much possible simply to avoid them. His mother is a teacher and his father does construction. Very normal jobs with decent pay that gets them by with each year. Nothing in his life forced him to become a rebel; he simply wants to be one and enjoys it.

Starter Pokemon: Squirtle. But hey, if we can have a wild card, may I have a Seviper?

    Name:
    Robert "Robbie" Kingston

    Age:
    13

    Gender:
    Male

    Appearance:
Robbie is very tall for his age, standing at nearly 6"0'. His scruffy, thin brown hair gives the impression that Robbie is quite unwealthy and intelligent. However, this is not true. Robbie started puberty quite early for his age; and now shaves once a week, bearing an unshaven stubbly patch above his upper lip. His voice has also broken, and was the first in his class to do so. Robbie's eyes are a glassy light blue, which gives an uninterested look to the teenager. Robbie isn't very handsome - and this irritated him quite a lot. Robbie's face represents his body; quite long, and thin.
Robbie has quite a well toned body, sporting a barely audible six pack. Although, he didn't like to show it off to girls, unlike some of his peers.

    Personality:
Although Robbie is quite tall and looks slightly threatening; he is in fact very quiet and has a low self esteem. He didn't really have any friends due to this, although he did like some of his classmates. They were hardly friend material though.
Although at first glance, Robbie seems to be quite scruffy and unintelligent, he is in fact very intelligent. He was very good at his subjects at school, and was very fond of computers. The only subject he wasn't talented in was humans themselves. He had a bit of trouble communicating with his peers, and especially with females. Although Robbie studied and liked pokemon, he has had no experience with them, due to his shyness.
Robbie is quite a nice person - but doesn't show it, as he hardly speaks to anyone other than his father. He hopes that starting a Pokemon adventure will improve his personality and understanding of Pokemon, other people, and himself.

    History:
Robbie's mother died of cancer when he was a few months old, meaning he can't remember her. Robbie only has his Dad's photos of her to see what she was actually like. Robbie's father, George, was a well known businessman throughout Kanto, owning the famous "George Kingston's Pokesnacks". George was quite strict at times, but has Robbie's best interests at heart. Robbie works as a shop assistant for his Dad's company in his spare time, in order to get money to spend on the latest computer software.
Robbie enrolled in the local school when his father moved to Pallet Town, and was a big hit among te teachers there, being very intelligent. However, they couldn't quite understand the boy at times. George has often tried to get Robbie to start a Pokemon adventure, but Robbie has always refused, being slightly scared to go on an adventure, all on his own. However, Robbie decided to agree to the task this year, although he felt very anxious...

    Starter Pokemon:
    Bulbasaur

Thank-you so much. So is it alright if I post my Intoduction right now?

    Starting Off

"...and today starts the marking point of your journey's!" Professor Oak finished with much vigor as he smiled at the desperate looking new trainers. All of them had gotten to the lab, and Oak had given his incredibly long speech.

"Can we have our pokemon now?" one boy by the name of Max demanded, looking ready to bolt with a stolen pokemon and pokedex in hand. He impatiently shoved a bit of hair out from in front of his eyes and glared at the elder man.

Professor Oak cleared his throat, looking a bit uncomfortable. "Yes, yes, of course. Now, here we have our pkedex's, and here are your pokemon," he said, handing them out to each trainer seemingly at random.

"Finally," Max breathed as he pocketed his pokedex and rushed out of the lab, oblivious to all the stares he recieved. Literally shooting out of the lab and blowing by a sleeping guard Houndour outside of Professor Oak's lab, he finally stood in front of Route one. "Yesss," Max hissed, stressing out the s as he caught his breath. "Now let's see what I've got!"

Throwing his pokeball, it burst open with a flash of bright light. The pokemon began to form in white glow before finally showing itself. "Squirtle!" it said happily as it turned to Max and tilted its head at him.

"Hmm, a Squirtle, huh?" Max said, looking the pokemon up and down. "Well, as you do evolve into the powerhouse Blastoise, you're good enough." Squirtle, a bit unsure, said nothing. "Now let's see what you can do," Max said, looking around as he walked through the deep grass of Route 1. Hearing a slight rustle, his eyes zoomed in on a pokemon. "Perfect!"

Squirtle, turning to see what his trainer saw, let out a hapy grunt as it jumped in front of the pokemon, eager to prove to its trainer that it had chosen wisely. "Squi!"

Nine awoke bright and early, getting herself dressed quickly in her Ninetails coloured outfit she raced out of the house with Ninetails at her feet. She was so excited to be getting her first pokemon today. So many choices she thought to herself. 'Charmander, the Fire Type, Squirtle, the water type, Bulbasaur, the grass type, Pikachu, the electric type and Eevee the normal type.' As she thought she stopped. Ninetails had stepped infront of her, and sat un movingly gazing up into Nine's eyes.

Nine understood what it ment, and knelt down to Ninetails. "Ninetails, I'm sorry" she spoke softly. "You can't come with me to Oak's Lab."

Ninetails nodded and got to her paws, and watched as Nine made her way down the road to Pallet Town. She hopped skipped and jumped, while humming her favorite tune, Pokemon Lullaby. As she approached the turn in the road she cheaked her map for the direction to turn.

Approaching Pallet Town, her heart began to beat faster. She was so nervous. Seeing the Lab she walked up to it and took a deep breath before entering. Inside she gasped, it was so beautifull. Spying someone walking around she turned to them.

"Excuse me sir? Can you tell me where Prof. Oak is?" she inquired.

Robbie woke up to a note on his desk - "Have fun on your Pokemon journey! I'll call you when I'm back. Love Dad." Robbie got ready, putting on his t shirt and jeans. Today was the day he would finally go on a Pokemon adventure. Eating some toast, Robbie got his shoes on and departed for Oak's lab.

Oak's lab was only a short walk away from his Dad's bakery. Robbie could see a young boy walking away into Route 1 holding a Pokeball in disbelief and wonder.

"Hello, there. You must be Robbie," Robbie recognised the voice - it was Professor Oak himself. "Come inside, there's a Pokemon for you!" Robbie's legs were shaking - he was very nervous. He was this close to recieving his first Pokemon. They stepped inside the laboratory, and Robbie looked around. He couldn't help admiring all the latest technology inside, and all of the scientists studying pokemon and taking notes. Robbie had once aspired to be a scientist in his youth.

"Just through here," Oak added, as Robbie followed. "Your father said that a Bulbasaur was your first choice."

"Yeah, that's my favourite." Robbie said, happily. He was feeling less and less nervous.

"Well you're in luck. We've got one right here!" said Professor Oak. The professor always liked to watch new trainers recieve their Pokemon. Oak grabbed Bulbasaur's pokeball and gave it to Robbie. "He's a very loyal pokemon, and is very loving for a Bulbasaur. You just take good care of him!"

"Uh, thanks." Robbie responded, and grabbed the pokeball. He turned away, and walked towards the door,

"Wait there, Robbie!" The professor shouted after him, chuckling. "Well, aren't you keen? You forgot about the Pokedex and these Pokeballs!" Robbie blushed, and returned to Oak. Oak handed the Pokedex to Robbie, as well as the 5 Pokeballs. "Remember, you can only carry 6 Pokemon at a time. Any other Pokemon you catch will be transferred here to my lab." Robbie nodded, and went out of the door.

Outside, Robbie summoned his Bulbasaur. He knew how to do this by watching various videos on his TV of proper trainers. As soon as Bulbasaur was released, it turned towards Robbie, just staring at him. This made Robbie slighty uneasy. He opened his Pokedex, and pointed it towards Bulbasaur.

"Bulbasaur, the bulb pokemon. A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokémon." The Bulbasaur now had 2 moves according to the pokedex - Tackle and Growl. He had seen the move tackle before, but he has no idea what "growl" did.

"H-Hey, Bulbasaur." Robbie said, unsurely. 'Bul' was the response. "Umm, well, I've never done this before, so, umm, hello." Bulbasaur walked towards Robbie, and rubbed against his leg. This tickled Robbie. "Haha! Bulbsaur, stop it!" he said affectionately. The two laughed together, before they both set off to Route 1.

Good posts thus far guys! Feel free to continue!

Max obtained a Lv. 5 Squirtle! Max obtained a Pokedex! Max obtained 5x Pokeballs!

Robbie obtained a Lv. 5 Bulbasaur! Robbie obtained a Pokedex! Robbie obtained 5x Pokeballs!

The Aide, pointed Nine in the direction of Prof Oak. "That's him there."

"Oh, Okay. Thank-you" she said and turned in the dirrection of Prof. Oak. Her hands were shaking as she approached him and as she turned to speak a voice stopped her.

"Hello, you must be Nine. What an unusual name. I almost thought you were a Ninetails. So you've come for your pokemon have you?"

Nine looked astonished, and then realized that Prof. Oak was talking to her. She quickly gathered her courage and responded by shaking his hand. "H.. Hi sir" she stammered. "Yes, I.. I did come for a pokemon"

Oak nodded and showed her to the table with five Poke Balls. "They all contain Pokemon, which are very rare. Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pikachu and Eevee. Have you decided on which one you will take? Bear in mind this pokemon is your life partner"

Nine nodded and looked at the Poke Balls on the table. She had made up her mind and picked up the ball containing Eevee. "I'll take this one" she said.

Oak nodded and began to speak again. "So your taking Eevee the normal type pokemon. Excelent choice, I'm sure you'll find this Pokemon to your liking. Now for your Pokedex."

    "My Poke what?"

"Your Pokedex, it keeps track of all the pokemon you've seen and captured on your journey. While your at it take these Poke Balls as well, they will help you on your journey as well"

Nine stuck out her hand and Oak placed they items in it. She couldn't believe her eyes, she was a Pokemon Trainer now. "Th.. Thank-you Sir" she squeaked.

"Any time now Child.. And one more thing.. Good Luck.."

Nine waved good bye to Oak and exited the Lab with her new Eevee. She placed the Pokedex and Poke Balls inside her Mew shaped pack and looked at the Poke Ball containing Eevee.

The Pokeball in Nine's hand began to shake and glow, while inside it realesed a small lv.5 Eevee. It had bright brown fur with twinges of dark on it's tail and paws, while it's small round black eyes were docile and content. It didn't say much but just stair at Nine.

"Hello, Eevee" Nine said bending down to pet her new companion. She opened her pack and handed Eevee some Poke Food which she always carried with her for Ninetails.

    "O-Weeve"

Nine smiled and looked around. There were many other Trainers around, one with a Squirtle the other with a Bulbasaur. First she'd nickname her pokemon. She had thought of alot of good names and decided on one name that she thought would suit her the most.

"Eevee, I'm going to name you Vee"

As if to acknowledge Nine, Vee lifted her head and let out a happy cry. It seemed as if she liked the name. Nine smiled and looked all around at the other Trainers and thier starter pokemon. She picked up Vee and made her way over to the trainer with the Bulbasaur.

"Hi, I'm Nine and this is Vee my Eevee" she said.

As Robbie and Bulbasaur headed towards Route 1, Robbie suddenly stopped, concentrating on something. Bulbasaur looked in confusion, but it suddenly became clear what Robbie had noticed. On the road ahead, was a trainer clutching an injured pokemon in her hands, running towards Robbie and his new companion. As the trainer came closer, the Pokemon was visible - a Pidgey. It looked very weak - something bad must have happened. Robbie simply watched the trainer run past, comforting her Pidgey.

"I wonder what happened to her Pidgey, Bulbasaur..." Robbie thought, out loud. "Anyway, we'd better get going - if we don't hurry up then we'll never become the best out there. Do you want to go inside your Pokeball?" Robbie asked, holding a Pokeball towards Bulbasaur. The response was simple - Bulbasaur knocked it away with one of its vines. "Well, I take that as a no, then, Bulbasaur." Robbie had read on the internet that some pokemon liked to be outside of its pokeball sometimes. Robbie gathered the stray Pokeball and proceeded towards the grass with Bulbasaur. Maybe Bulbasaur would get inside it later.

"Oh, yeah, I'm the best! You annihilated that Pidgey, Geodude!" Robbie noticed that a crowd was formed up ahead. There was a trainer in the middle, celebrating. The boy looked very posh - he was wearing a suit yet he was only the same age as Robbie.

"So who's next! Who's going to be my next victim?" The boy asked. No-one said a word, which was weird. If Robbie was there, he'd definitely take up the challenge. "How about you?" The boy asked, pointing in Robbie's direction. Robbie turned around, expecting to see a trainer behind him. But there wasn't. Uh oh. The boy was pointing at Robbie.

"Do you want to battle his Pokemon, Bulbasaur?" Bulbasaur nodded, eyeing up Geodude, who was posing for the crowd, flexing his rock muscles. "Oh, wait there." Robbie got out his Pokedex and aimed it at Geodude. "Geodude, the rockhead Pokemon. Mistaking them for boulders, people often step or trip on them" So this was a Geodude.

    ---------------------------------------------

    Robbie vs. Rich Kid

    "Go, Bulbasaur! Use tackle!"
"Dodge, Geodude! And use Rock Throw!"

Geodude dodged Bulbasaur's attempt, jumping to the left. The rock pokemon then hurled rocks at Bulbasaur. 'So this is Rock Throw...' thought Robbie.

"Try and catch the rocks with your vines!" Robbie said, trying to improvise. However, he had forgot one thing - Bulbasaur only has two vines. Realising his mistake, Robbie tried to stop Bulbasaur from catching them. But it was too late. Two or three rocks had hit Bulbasaur, and had taken a lot out of him. Robbie also noticed that Geodude was pretty tired too, probably from throwing the rocks, along with Geodude's battle against the Pidgey.

"Tackle it, Bulbasaur! Quick!" Bulbasaur was too fast for Geodude, hitting it quite strongly. Both Pokemon were quite hurt at this point, just staring at each other. The match was going to end soon.

"Finish it off with a tackle of your own, Geodude!" Geodude wasted no time, jumping in the air using its arms, and came crashing down on Bulbasaur, knocking it out.

    END BATTLE

    WINNER = RICH KID

    ---------------------------------------------

"Bulbasaur, return!" Robbie said, getting Bulbasaur into its Pokeball. Robbie looked at the Pokeball. "You did well, Bulbasaur."

The rich kid walked over to Robbie, and extended his hand. "I'm Winston," Robbie tried to shake it, but Winston withdrew his hand. "You don't deserve a handshake. You were awful." Robbie just turned away, and walked to the Pokemon centre.

After a while, Bulbasaur was healthy again. "It's great to see you, Bulbasaur! You did great." Bulbasaur looked slightly depressed. "Cheer up, Bulbasaur! It was our first battle! If we can add a Pokemon or two to our team, then we can beat trainers like him!" Bulbasaur looked up at Robbie, despairingly.

"In fact, Bulbasaur," Robbie said, "Let's go catch one now!" With that, Robbie returned Bulbasaur to its pokeball, and went back to Route 1. Winston had gone, leaving a pile of rocks on the floor from their battle. Ignoring them, Robbie looked around for a Pokemon, before spotting one behind a bush. He could only see a faint shadow, but the Pokemon had whiskers. Sneaking up on the Pokemon, Robbie held his Pokedex towards the Pokemon. "Rattata, the Mouse Pokemon. It will chew on anything with its fangs. If you see one, it is certain that 40 more live in the area." 'Hmm,' Robbie thought to himself. 'That means we've gotta catch this one quick before its friends show up."

The Rattata still hadn't noticed Robbie. "Go, Bulbasaur." Robbie whispered. 'Tackle it into that tree over there.' Bulbasaur listened, doing exactly that. The Rattata was hurt, but it turned around and glared at Bulbasaur and Robbie. It was angry. The Rattata sprinted towards Robbie with what seemed like a Quick Attack. Ignoring Bulbasaur, the Rattata came closer to Robbie. Robbie jumped out of the way, and Rattata ran into a tree, knocking itself out. "Well, you're an angry Pokemon." Robbie said, breathing a sigh of relief. Reaching into his rucksack, he got out a Pokeball. "Go, Pokeball!" Robbie yelled, throwning a ball towards Rattata. The ball struggled for a while, but eventually stayed still, meaning Robbie had caught it. He looked at the Pokeball, smiling. He had caught his first Pokemon.

A little while later Nine and Vee, were walking down Route 1. She too had seen the trainer run by with her Pidgy and she wondered weither it would be alright or not. As she looked around a trainer came up to her with a Pidgy sitting on it's shoulder.

"humph, You're new arn't you?" the trainer asked mockingly.

Nine nodded her head and Vee began to growl softly in her throat. Nine patted Vee in her arms and looked down, Vee had sprung from her arms and was staring at the Pidgey on the trainers arm.

"Humph, looks like your Eevee want's to battle my Pidgey! What do ya say Pidgey, Shall we teach this trainer a lesson she won't forget?"

"Gawoo" Wen't the Pidgey, spirling off of the Trainers shoulder and onto the ground facing Vee.

"Vee, are you sure you want to do this?" Nine asked worriedly, she didn't know how her battle was going to turn out and she wasn't sure if Vee could handle it.

    Nine Vs. Bird Keeper Ralph

    "Go Pidgey! Use Sand Attack!"
"Vee, Dodge it, and use your Tail Whip"

    *Pidgey's Defence Fell

"Urg! That's it I'm not playing nice anymore! PIDGEY USE TACKLE" As the Pidgey sored straight for Vee, Vee stood her ground. Bracing it self, Vee took the hit. It was tossed across the ground, and it struggled to get up.

    "AH! Vee!" Nine shouted worriedly.

Acknoledging it's trainer, Vee got to her paws and braced herself again, awaiting an order.

"Vee use your Tail whip again"

    *Vee used Tail Whip
    *Pidgey's Defence Fell

"What are you doing? Tail Whip isn't a strong attack!?" Bird Keeper Ralph Laughed. "Okay Pidgey let's finish this, use tackle again"

This time Nine was ready and she gave the order. "Dodge it Vee, and then use tackle"

    *Pidgey used Tackle
    *Pidgey's Attack Missed
    *Vee used Tackle (Critical Hit)

Pidgey was tossed aside, in a heap, clearly panting. The times Vee had lowered it's defence was enough to bring it to a critical hit.

"Ah! Pidgey! Look what you've done to it!" As this was said Pidgey got up and tackled without it's trainers permission. It was clearly enraged, it struck Vee hard flinging her into a near by tree. Stopping as Vee remained motionless. "Good Pidgey! Now use Tackle again!"

    *Pidgey used Tackle
    *Vee Fainted

"Wait! Stop! Vee can't take anymore hits, she's down already!" Nine pleaded. It was no use, it seemed as if this trainer didn't realy care. The Pidgey was coming in fast, and Nine launched herself covering Vee. Nine took the blow and let out a shrill cry for help.

"Pidgey enough now! We're done here!" The Pidgey flew back to it's master and landed on Ralphs shoulder. As they walked away they left Vee and Nine alone.

    Battle Ended
    Winner: Bird Keeper Ralph

"Vee!?" Nine let out a gasping cough. She was badly hurt from Pidgey's attack. She knew Vee needed a Pokemon Center right away. Getting to her feet she picked up Vee in her arms. "Oh Vee please hold on!"

"Oh... Wee.. Ve" Came the pokemons shortend cry.

"Help! Please someone Help!" Cried Nine in desperation! Hoping somone or something would hear her.

Good posts thus far guys, but Dawn's Hat, after you throw your pokeball you're supposed to end your post and allow me to choose if you caught it or not. I'll allow you to keep it this time, but watch out. Besides that good job everyone. Also Dawn's Hat, when someone approaches you then don't be rude and ignore them. I'll let these pass, but just watch out ;)
