"Already got yourself a Magikarp? You'll have six Pokemon before you even reach your hometown if you keep it up," Sethos laughed, only just raising his own Old Rod back. Mankey jumped off his shoulder and onto Rhyhorn so that he could start fishing himself. Seeing Rebecca do it first, he swung a more confident stroke. The line flew overhead and landed with a small plop into the water. As confident as he might've looked, a ditzy smile soon came over him. "I didn't think I'd get it on the first try... well, you learn from your friends, right?" Friend. It had a nice ring to it. The boy lost many when they left for their own adventure, and it was nice to be fishing with a new friend. Maybe...
Walking to the edge of the water, Sethos stopped right next to Rebecca. She was being shy and looked away, but she was more than likely listening. "We should travel together," Sethos said bluntly, looking at the water as he watched the bob of his rod float on top, "officially, I suppose I should say. It'll be nice to travel with someone as kind as you." He didn't sound happy, but he didn't sound sad, either. His tone was rather neutral, and his thinking for that moment was torn between his long-lost Squirtle, what other people were doing, Rebecca, and his two Pokemon companions. But wait, what about himself? What do I do... I feel uncertain all of a sudden, Sethos thought, his gaze narrowing at the water in front of him, Is this the grip of loneliness grandma was warning me about? I didn't even legitimately ask her to travel together. It's probably also very presumptuous; she may have things that she needs to do. But maybe she wants to travel together. Would she even care that I'm putting this much thought into it? It's hardly been a day since we met, but I feel like we're close friends, though. I'm so confused... Nothing tugged at the line. Rebecca was lucky to have gotten an instant result. It might take a while for another Pokemon to appear. Patience was needed when it came to fishing.
Rhyhorn, with Mankey, walked off to the side and approached the edge of the water. Feeling thirsty, he lowered his head and drank the water. It felt nice and cool. Mankey jumped off his back and scooped some water for herself. Though, something caught her eye as she sipped the water... something was swimming close by. Curious, Mankey stepped as close as possible and stared into the water. it was getting closer... closer... it splashed water in her face!! It happened so quick that she couldn't tell what it was. Angry, Mankey punched at the water in a fit of rage. Rhyhorn backed up as water hit his face. He was still a Rock-/Ground-type.
A second later, something seemed to be coming back up. Ready to pounce, Mankey jumped into the water to attack what had splashed it. Rhyhorn looked into the water in surprise, waiting for his teammate to stop acting up. Another instant, Mankey came out of the water and scrambled to land in a panic. With shortened breath, it backed up and stuck close to Rhyhorn's side. Surprised, Rhyhorn returned to the water's edge to see what was going on. Mankey tried to plead him not to. But nothing was there...
