Inferape Flare Blitz discard problem?

Ok so i use Inferape in battles with my friends and it has a move called "Flare Blitz" for those of you who dont know.

Flare Blitz requires me to discard 2 "Fire energy" cards in order to use the attack this is all fine exept when i play my "Double Colorless Energy" - We play as tho this card counts of "2" of any energy card so that in one turn we can add energy cards in this way.

I belive that when i play this card and use flare blitz as it asks me to discard "All fire energy attached to inferape" and as flare blitz only takes "2" fire energys to use and i execute it on the same time as i play it.

With the colourless energy i dont think i should have to remove it because it is not a Fire Energy or basic energy if i had fire energys on him i would discard them but its not asking me to discard a double colourles or any other than a "Fire Energy".

So should i discard the double colourles energy because it allows me to use the move "Flare Blitz?" or should i leave it on Inferape as it asks me to only discard Fire energys and not Special Double Colourless Energy your input would help this needs to be urgently resolved.

Colorless Energy does not count as Fire Energy. Ergo, using it, you shouldn't be allowed to use Flare Blitz.

Look, simplest way to put this - basic Fire Energy cards get discarded, along with any other cards - Rainbow, Double Rainbow, Scramble - that would, on Infernape, count as Fire Energy, so must be discarded.

Again, Colorless Energy does not allow you to use Flare Blitz, because it counts only for two Colorless Energy, not for two of any Energy.

So do i discard the double colorless energy because i use it to pay for the attack cost or do i keep it there because it asks me to discard fire energys and double colourless is not one..?

In other words, you cheat. Cipher 2008's explanation was just fine. Use it.

AS far as my Knowledge goes from the First and Best Pkmon Cards created, Colorless counts as 2 energy cards, but as Colorless. It will and Shall never become any other types.

Let's put it this way: if you're counting it as Fire Energy for using the attack, then you have to count it as Fire Energy for everything else. You can't have it both ways.

In other words, yes, you discard it.
