The short version: Is it possible to make a looping map in Essentials?

The longer version: I'm attempting to make a simple "cutscene" with dialogue and characters on a moving boat, but the events eventually hit the end of the map and stop.

Attempted solution #1: Install a looping map script!
The problem: No looping map script exists for Essentials, and plugging in a looping map script for vanilla XP crashes Essentials.

Attempted solution #2: Screenshot the terrain and use it as a parallax!
The problem: The parallax doesn't include the water's animation.

Attempted solution #3: Teleport the events back to the start of the map!
The problem: With some fiddling, this almost works... but having an open text box prevents the player or events from being directly moved.

Attempted solution #4: ...Just, like, build a really hecking long map???

Is there an unconventional means of getting the effect that I want, or will I have to lower the bar somewhat? Or is this just the perfect storm of unsolveable problems?
