Inspirational Artists (or Songs)

A simple thread compared to others I've made...

Are there any artists out there that inspire you to do something and become someone in your life? Any artist that you can listen to a specific song that they sing (that others may sing as well) and you just immediately feel so much better after a horrible day or a melancholy mood?

If so, who's the artist?
Why do you think that that inspire you?

Iced earth , even some of there sadder songs (melancholy , i died for you , watching over me) are so great they just get me pumped to go out and skateboard or anything there really great songs. iced earth really knows how to rock a chorus :P

They're music always gets me pumped up :D

David Bowie really helped me open my mind a little bit to other kinds of music. Although it would be cliché to call him a chameleon... Don't really know how I got into his music.

Songs aren't exactly the thing to motivate me. I never pay attention to the lyrics anyways.

I'd honestly say Avril Lavigne and her new little cheerleader styled songs have been an inspiration for me. It's really unique.

Listening to hardcore techno, gabber,or speedcore makes me want to fight.

Ok.. This isn't exactly what I had in mind.

By inspirational, I meant something that lifts your spirits and makes you feel better. Not inspirational in terms of getting you to want to do something. I thought I made that quite clear in the first post, but I suppose I didn't and should have been more direct, despite being rather direct regardless.
