    Hey Pokecommunity,

Unfortunately it looks like one my maps got glitched, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. As the title says, I keep getting an "invalid pointer to map footer error" whenever I try and access the map in anyway on advanced map. On top of this I have tried re-inserting the map, using a completely different map, etc, however this doesn't seem to change anything (it'll allow me to insert/create a new map over the bank, and let me modify it, but I can't seem to save whatever progress I do on it).

Any suggestions would be grealty appreciated.

    Thanks!

Do you have any idea what caused the corruption? In my experience, map corruption can happen when altering wild pokemon data. Specifically, changing wild data, and then trying to switch to another map or something like that. So what I started doing was, after changing wild encounters for one map, I'd just close a-map and re-launch it. For some time I was even comparing data using a hex editor to see what a-map wrote just to make sure.

Unfortunately, Idk how to fix map corruption once its happened. Only thing I can advice is going back to an old backup, if thats a possibility.
