"Great!" Logan said with a smile before tossing down a Pokéball "I hatched this little guy just yesterday, hope you can handle him" the ball popped open with a musical snap, out came a small Pokémon with short brown fur that covered its entire body, except for the mouth and the crescent moon marking on its head, which was a light tan. It had a small, round body with short limbs and a short, puffy tail. It reminded her of a teddy bear. Kai felt her heart tug, it looked so cute! "Urr" it cooed looking up at Kaitlyn with its big brown eyes, inside she was turning to mush at the sheer cuteness, but on the outside she scowled "How sickeningly sweet" she mumbled pulling out her Pokédex and scanning the bear.

Teddiursa.
The Little Bear Pokémon
If it finds honey, its crescent mark glows. It licks its palms that are sweetened by being soaked in honey. A Teddiursa makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill.

She then turned to Torque.

[PokeCommunity.com] Inveno: The land of Discovery

Trapinch
The Ant Pit Pokémon
Its big jaws crunch through boulders. Because its head is so big, it has a hard time getting back upright if it tips over onto its back.

Kaitlyn then scanned the moves that Teddiursa knew, before she looked at Torque's moveset "Only two attacks! And he know's Gust, how?" she stared curiously at Torque, who was just standing there patiently for Kaitlyn to give him a command "Is something wrong?" Logan asked from his side of the field, noticing the confusion flitting across the girls face "Err its umm nothing, I ready to begin" she responded with a sheepish laugh before clenching her fists in determination "Even though he has two moves, I can still improvise!" Logan smiled "Alright then. Teddiursa use Scratch!" Teddiursa, who had licking at its paws with its head tilted cutely to the side, nodded "Ursa!" it cried out before it began charging at Torque with his claws out.

"Okay Torque, start off with Bite!"

Torque did not jump straight into action like she had thought, instead the Ant Pit Pokémon just stood there while Teddiursa ran at him "Torque! What are you doing!? Don't just stand there!" Torque did nothing but just stood there "Teddiii..." it bought its hand around to scratch Torque "Ursaaa!! Ursa!?" Only to cry out in shock when Torque quickly opened his mouth and caught the had that was about to scratch it, biting down on the fuzzy paw "Ursa! Urrrsa! Sa! Sa! Sa!" Teddiursa was shouting at Torque, crying to let it go, it was using Fake Tears "Urr" it sniffed, staring at Torque with watery eyes.

"Toss it Torque!"

Sadly Fake Tears seemed to have no effect on Torque, who flung Teddiursa a few feet away "Ursa Teddi!" it growled, landing on its feet and rubbing at its bitten paw "That was pretty cool Torque! For a second there, I thought you were disobeying me" Torque shook his head "Pinchhh" it rasped while Logan looked thoughtful "Okay Teddiursa, try another scratch attack!"

Teddiursa nodded and charged at Torque "Teddiursa!" it lashed out on Torque again "Bite!" and Torque did the same thing as before, chomping down on the bears wrist "Pinchhh" it mumbled around the appendage sticking from its mouth "Heh, now Teddiursa, use Seismic Toss!!" Teddiursa smirked and grabbed onto Torques head tightly, Teddiursa then began to spin in a circle for several seconds, causing Torque to get dizzy and loosen his grip a bit, after spinning Teddiursa leapt into the air and then came back down, slamming Torque to the ground, on his head.

"Torque!"

"Piinnch" the Trapinch groaned and slowly stood up, shaking its head slightly, the attack doing a hefty amount of damage "Now, lets try Yawn!" Logan said with a grin "Urrrrrsaaaaa" Teddiursa began to spit out several large pink bubbles, which floated around Torque's head, one managed to hit him in the face, causing Torque to Yawn widely "Piinch Trapinch" he yawned "Great, now use Scratch and don't stop!"

"Quickly Torque, bite it before you—"

It had been a bit to late, because a few seconds later, Torque was knocked out cold, with Teddiursa's scratching repeatedly at his head while he snoozed "Teddi! Teddi! Teddi! Teddi! Ursaaa!" Teddiursa had scratched his several times and Torque had yet to awaken "Now, use Seismic Toss!" Teddiursa nodded and grabbed onto Torques head like before and began spinning in a circle for several seconds, before leaping into the air and then came back down, slamming Torque on his head.

"Tra… Pinch?"

That blow to the head must've awaken Torque, who grunted and shook his head "Trapinch!" he growled at Teddiursa, who gave a coy smile "Teddiursa!" Kaitlyn frowned thoughtfully "How can I beat this guy… Torque is very sturdy, because he's a ground type and he can take a few hits… but if Logan keeps delivering those Seismic Tosses, he might not last… we've got to end this"

"Okay Torque, use Bite!"

The Trapinch nodded and skittered over to Teddiursa quickly and latched tightly onto its fluffy tail from behind with its powerful jaws "Teddiii! Teddi! Teddi! Urrrsaaa!!" it cried out, upon feeling Trapinch's jaws lock onto its fluffy bottom "Use Yawn!"

"Toss it Torque!"

Torque grunted and slowly stood on its hind legs, twisting its head back as far as it could before he flung Teddiursa high into the sky, but the bear managed to catch himself in mid air and was able to still pull off the Yawn attack, launching several pink bubbles at Torque "Blow them away with Gust!" Trapinch let out a raspy shout before its eyes twinkled and a powerful rush of wind swirled around the airborne Teddiursa, capturing it and the bubbles in a mini tornado, tossing Teddiursa around like a sack.

"Teddiursa!?"

When the tornado had finally dispersed, Teddiursa was seen falling at high speeds to the ground, before he hit the earth with a loud thud, that picked up a bit of dust, both trainers didn't know if it was asleep or if it had fainted "Please be fainted. Please be fainted. Please be fainted." Kaitlyn chanted this mantra repeatedly in her head, hoping the Little Bear was out cold, rather than just knocked out asleep.

"Urrrsaaa" it groaned rolling over on its back, Logan and Kaitlyn gasped as they noticed the swirls in its eyes, indicating the Pokémon was down for the count "I… I won!" Kaitlyn exclaimed with wide eyes "Way to go Torque!" she cheered picking the Trapinch up, who smiled "Pinnch" Logan, picked up his Teddiursa "You did well friend, you deserve a nice rest" Teddiursa groaned in his arms "Ursaaa" Logan chuckled lightly before recalling the bear and glancing at Kaitlyn.

"That was a great battle and that Gust" he laughed, rubbing his head in a sheepish manner "To tell you the truth, I wasn't expecting that. Which is a good thing, You can surprise your opponents with that.." he told her and Kai smiled "Alright, I'll keep that in mind, thanks Logan and I had a fun time battling you" Logan nodded and pulled out a Pokéball "Yeah, I did too"

"Togekiss come out!"

"Togeesss"

A large white Pokémon with an egg-shaped body, it had a triangle-shaped wings and a dotted underbelly with little red and blue triangle-shaped spots and two feet that are close to each other. On its head are three-pointed crest that has the left spike tipped in blue and the right spike tipped in red.

Kaitlyn scanned it.
[PokeCommunity.com] Inveno: The land of Discovery

Togekiss
The Jubilee Pokémon
It shares many blessings with people who respect one another's rights and avoid needless strife.

"Woah" Kaitlyn stared at the Togekiss while Logan chuckled as he stroked Togekiss' head affectionately before mounting the large bird "Well, I must be off, I have other matter's to attend to" he gave a kind smile and a happy wave "We'll meet again soon enough Kaitlyn" the boyish looking girl blinked "We will" Logan nodded, as Togekiss began to ascend to the sky "Of course, I am a Gym Leader after all" his eyes twinkled mischievously while Kaitlyn felt her eyes go wide "See you later Professor Stump! Take Care!" he waved back at the two before Togekiss zoomed off, leaving Kaitlyn to stare blankly at the spot where he once stood.

". . ."

"He was… a Gym Leader!?"

Great Post Yashi, Torque hit level 7.

What's this? Logan seemed to have dropped a small box with a note attached,

Hope this can be of some use to you

Yours Truly,
Logan

In the box you find TM78 it contains Captivate (The tm depends on the person and I thought since Kaitlyn is sort of boyish this was ironic)

**BTW TO YOU PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T POSTED YET, YOU GOT TILL TUESDAY MORNING TO POST OR ELSE YOUR DROPPED, TALK TO ME IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT**

OOC: I'm not using an excuse or something, but I'm dutch and might have grammer mistakes, just so you know.

Name: Sergio PURPLE BOWL Santos

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Personality: Sergio is a caring person, and he gets along well with pretty much everyone as long as they do normal toward him, he is really open to other people, he tells exactly what he feels, and loving toward his loved ones, especially his mother which brought him up really well, he dislikes cocky people, and consider them his rival, his goal is to to let the cocky people be more sensitive toward everyting.

Toward pokemon: He is a very subtile trainer, he trains every type of pokemon to the best of their can, but he does not make them really exhausted, he only trains them during the day, he is a trainer which gets concerned because his trainer has a flu or a fever and takes them immediately to the Pokemon Center. He likes to see his pokemon win pokemon battles and strengthen them.

Appearance: Sergio Has brown eyes, he has large eyelashes which is pretty awkward for a boy, he has thick eye brows and he has a nose of normal size and a mouth which is also of normal size, he has normal size ears. His hairis black and he has a brown skin colour, he has a scar just below his eye and always smiles.

He wears a blue sweater, with blue baggy pants and white nike air force, this is only during the day, during the night he wears, a blue pyjama the top says :'tommorow I wil be a pokemon master' and the bottom is just plain blue, When it is hot he wears a pair of black sunglasses, a brown polo, and a short gray baggy pant also with the white air force

History: Sergio was Born in 1995 in new bark town, johto he was brought up by his mother and father, and they took good care of him. When Sergio was four he went hiking with his father but almost fell of a cliff, he barned his skin on the cliff and that is why he has a scar.

When Sergio became six he went to the pokemon school where he took lessons untill his tenth earning a degree in pokemon care and training, together with his rival Seth,They weren't really rivals but actually bes friends, they were sworn rivals during pokemon battles.

When Sergio became ten he participated in the Johto leaugue and started with a shinx, which his father gave him as a present for his journey, he had several epic fights but only managed to get seven gym badges he was too late to get his gymbadge. by the time he got at the eight gym the leaugea was already started, and he had some strong pokemons but he couldn't show his skills.

After this dumper he stopped a bit with training and he got an egg of his luxray, which eventually hatched into a (shiny) shinx and he could start a new journey, but exactly when he wanted to start his new journey he got a letter saying that a new region was discovered and that he was invited to participate in its leaugue.

Preffered Starter: Shinx, adamant, male, shiny/unshiny it doesn't matter , if you think it is good enough for a shiny....

Hope this can be of some use to you.
Yours Truly,

Logan

Kaitlyn stared at the TM 78, Captivate, that Logan had let for her, she had a feeling this had some underlying message to it "What the heck am I supposed to do with this thing anyway" she glanced at Torque, who tilted his large head to the side in a confused manner "Pinch?" Kaitlyn shrugged "Yeah, I don't know either…" she then glanced up at the large cave, that was located near the edge of town, having left the lab not too long ago "Well... lets get going Torque, the quicker we get in there, the faster we're able to get out" Torque nodded and followed Kaitlyn. Once inside, Kaitlyn recognized the markings and patterns on the walls "Hey! Those are the same patterns from the ruins! I wonder what they mean..." she glanced at Torque "You think there might be some kind of hidden message"

"Pinch" since Torque didn't have any shoulder's to shrug, he just tilted his head in a shrugging manner, Kaitlyn was a bit unsure of how he managed to pull that off, but whatever. "Hmm I wonder what kind of Pokémon we'll encounter... I hope I find a cool looking Pokémon!" Torque said nothing, he just continued to walk by her side silently "Your not much of a speaker huh" she peered down at the Trapinch "Your a calm little guy aren't you?"

Torque nodded slightly and Kaitlyn grinned "Heheee your the exact opposite of me! I'm loud, brash and I act more like a boy than a girl... on the outside anyway" she glanced ahead of them, there was nothing in the cave, except for them at the moment, the Pokémon were probably out hiding somewhere and a sweet angelic melody echoed off the walls all around them... "I guess that's why they call it Echo cave huh" she gave Torque a wide toothy grin "Pinch"

"Laaaaaaaarrrrr"

"Huh?"

"Laaaarrr Larviiiitaaaarrrr"

A loud, helpless wail echoed through out the cavern, causing Torque and Kaitlyn to glance at each other briefly before they went to investigate "I wonder what that sound was... it sounded like someone was dying or something..." Torque sighed briefly before shaking his head, being human she wouldn't understand, but who ever was crying, sounded extremely upset for some reason. "Larvitarrrrrr!" Kaitlyn picked up Torque and then ran ahead, following the voice "What the heck is that?" she wondered coming to a stop in front of the thing making all that racket in the quiet cave. It was a small dark green reptilian Pokémon with rocky skin, It had an erect spine on top of its head and several holes on the side of its body, along with a red rhombus-shaped belly of sorts.

Kaitlyn pulled out her Pokédex and scanned it.

[PokeCommunity.com] Inveno: The land of Discovery

Larvitar
Rock Skin Pokémon

A Pokémon that eats soil. Once it has eaten a large mountain, it goes to sleep so it can grow.

Kaitlyn placed Torque on the ground before she bent down at the Larvitar's eye level "Hey there little guy, what's up" the Rock Skin Pokémon stopped its crying and sniffed, before stiffening at the sight of Kaitlyn "La…Larvitar" Kaitlyn blinked and peered at the Larvitar "Are you alright?" Larvitar shook his head no "Vitarr"

"Well… what's wrong?"

"Larvitar! Tar! Tar!"

Larvitar began making random hand gestures and signs that Kaitlyn didn't understand, causing her to stare at the reptilian Pokémon with confusion "What?" Larvitar had to resist the urge to roll his eyes and put on the most pitiful face she'd ever seen, whilst rubbing his tummy "Larvi-taar!"

"Ohh I get it! Your hungry!" she glanced around at the cave and looked at the floor, there was nothing but smooth cool concrete, no soil here "Well… you can eat the… err wait, never mind, this isn't soil… hmm" Kaitlyn pulled her messenger bag in front of her, dumping out all the contents and began rummaging through it.

"I don't think I have anything to eat for ya little guy, so— Hey! What the heck are you doing!?"

"Larvitar" the Rock Skin Pokémon murmured curiously as it held in its hands Kaitlyn's Pokédex, he pressed a few button's, causing it to beep, delighted, he cried out happily "Lar!" Kaitlyn stood, looming over Larvitar "That's not a toy Larvitar, now give it back" Larvitar looked at Kaitlyn, then back at her Pokédex, before it gave a mischievous grin and opened its mouth, releasing a wave of sand, that distorted her vision "Damn it! Larvitar get back here!"

"Laa. Laa. Laa."

Kaitlyn heard the Larvitar laughing in the distance, but she was a bit preoccupied at the moment and couldn't chase it, too busy trying to keep sand from her eyes and mouth "Torque! I need you to clear this Sandstorm away, use Gust!" Torque nodded, its eyes flashing as a wind swept up practically from nowhere, summoning a mini tornado that blew away the temporary Sandstorm "Now where the heck did that stinkin Larvitar go!" she growled glancing left and right for it "Pinch! Trapinch" Torque rasped, indicating she should follow him "You know where he went?" Torque nodded and began leading the way to the thieving Larvitar.

"Oh yeah, that' right… your not affected by Sandstorm, since you're a Ground type too… I think I read somewhere in the Pokédex about one of your special abilities, Arena Trap, It prevents a Pokémon from running away, which means… we've gotta corner that Larvitar, then you activate your ability and it won't be able to escape!"

"Its absolutely genius!"

+-+-+-+-+

"This is absolutely retarded"

That Larvitar, was no ordinary Larvitar, it had outsmarted Kaitlyn twice so far, not falling for any of her "traps" that is, if you could call placing a clump of dirt in the middle of a cave floor and silently waiting for Larvitar to appear and eat the dirt so she could toss a Pokéball at it, a clever trap. Torque thought her plan was ridiculous, not to mention so simple that even a baby could figure it out. . . Kaitlyn was a very strange human, she didn't even look like a girl, she didn't dress like a girl and she sure didn't act like one, this confused the poor Trapinch.

Torque shook his head and sighed, while he watched Kaitlyn sit on the ground and began mumbling to herself, thinking of a new plan to trap the sneaky Larvitar that made off with her Pokedex, so far, she has come up with some very harebrained ideas and some that made sense at all, like this one plan, that involved a piece of her hair, some chewed paper and a rock . . . Will those things even be of any use to her in the plan?

"Larvitar. Tartartartar" Torque tilted his head to the side in confusion upon hearing a soft snickering noise, it was coming from behind a boulder not to far from where they were "Tartartartar" there it was again, that muffled snicker, Torque quietly made his way to the boulder and peered behind it, surprised to find Larvitar, looking from the other side and snickering at the brainstorming Kaitlyn, who was mumbling to herself and drawing what looked to be plans to something with the rock on the floor. In his hands, was Kaitlyn's Pokédex, it hands been damaged, but specks of dust and smudges of dirt could be seen on it.

Torque went up behind Larvitar and chomped down harshly on its tail, causing the reptile to stiffen briefly before crying out and jerking its body so it could get out of Torque's jaws, but he kept a tight grip on Larvitar and dragged the protesting and squealing Pokémon out from behind the rock, alerting Kaitlyn of their presence "Huh… whatcha got there Torque" she glanced over the Larvitar briefly and realized that was the one that stole her Pokédex.

"Ah! Its You!"

She leapt up and pointed accusingly at the rock/ground type "Gimme back my Pokédex Larvitar" Larvitar shook his head and clutched it tightly "Larvitar! Tar! Tar!" Kaitlyn growled and looked thoughtful for a moment… alright, how about we have a battle then, winner gets to keep my Pokédex… alright…" Larvitar paused and glanced at the Pokédex briefly before glancing at Kaitlyn, then at Torque, who had let him go and ambled over to Kaitlyn's side "Larvitar" it mumbled placing the Pokédex on a boulder nearby and got into a fighting stance, it would win this battle!

"Larvitar!"

@Killer-G you are ACCEPTED... You can have a normal Shinx... I understand your dutch and I wont be as critical as usual on you for your grammer but it does degrade your post quality.

@ShadowYashi- Hehe crafty little Larvitar... Poor Torque he sounds very confused... Alright move on

The ruins of Inveno were truly breathtaking. Mounds of staunch rock faced Locke squarely, swirling runes carved freely into the brown, rugged surface. Crumbling chambers, both grand and simple, jutted out of the piles of now-destroyed ancient buildings. "Impressive; the Invenites are indeed an intriguing race." Locke smiled, childishly glazed over the beautiful architecture depicted. Then, he spotted the sign.

- Welcome to Chromium Town. -

"Ah. Right on time. Laetus sum." Locke glanced at the stone house, a few tens of metres behind the sign, carved with the same beautiful runes; and paced slowly inside the stone-and-crystal structure, glancing at its intricacies. "Wunderbar!"

A short man, in the later stages of his years and already completely bald, grinned after spotting the currently absentminded Locke and walked up to him rapidly, bushy brows wriggling with excitement. "Come in, young man! Have a seat." Watching the old professor with a mix of amusement and respect, Locke offered a hand to the man, who shook it vigorously and energetically. Waving to a leatherbound armchair by the professor's own, around a glass table, the professor sat down.

"Greetings, young man. I am Professor St-" The professor was stopped in midsentence.

"Stump? Glad to meet you, sir. Cor ad cor loquitur." Locke brushed his robes, smiled blandly again, and sat down on the proffered seat. It was fairly comfortable, as much so as what he was used to. "I, ah, my name is Locke. Locke Theophilus."

"Theophilus… a renowned name in all of the areas of artistic and historic expertise, correct? As I recall, your father is the professor of another region." Professor Stump chatted contently along. Locke nodded, and smiled thrice. Suddenly he noticed a figure by a glass window at the back, alongside a table on which was laid red gadgets and bags of red-and-white spheres, also know as Pokeballs.

"Ah." Professor Stump looked the direction of the figure as well. The figure – a man, a young man, towering over Locke by several inches or more. "Allow me to introduce you to my friend, Logan, young Theophilus… ah, I mean Locke." The professor chuckled, almost apologetically.

Locke walked up to the man. Extending his hand and rolling back his sleeve, which was draping over his appendage, Locke smiled amiably up at the man. "Good morning to you, too." The man named Logan seemed nice enough, and he shook Locke's hand as well, even more energetically than Professor Stump. "I see that your manners are excellent." His necklace, embedded with a grey stone, shook up and down. His grey eyes glowed with energy. Now that's an Invenite, Locke thought. Perhaps slightly too energetic, but there's nothing to fear from that. Vita potestas est.

"I'm sure you two'll make good friends. But now, Logan, it is time for me to tell young Locke here his responsibilities."
"Your name is Locke?" Logan smirked slightly, in good sport. "Not speaking your name when you meet someone is a bad habit."

"So? Alea iacta est, estne?" Locke curved his lips up in a display of good humor. Professor Stump could barely suppress a smile, while Logan had to think for a few seconds before asking Locke what it meant, upon which Locke replied. "The die is cast. Is it not?" And a moment of understanding was created. Brief but certain. They were both rational, calm people, to be sure.

"Now, now, Locke! Come here. I shall inform you on some facts about the region and give you your gear. I trust you'll appreciate finding out the rest by yourself." The professor squeaked, and Locke waved quickly before getting dragged away along a corridor.

"Now, young man, you know about the nature of the Invenites, yes?" The Professor asked. A slightly rhetorical question, Locke thought. But before he could answer, Professor Stump filled the rest in for him. "The Invenites, umm, are affected by the genetic material of the Pokemon they are individually closest too. They gain superficial changes in eye colour, skin colour, hair colour, et cetera. You.. have an obligation to bring me data. I'm getting old, and it's good for you to travel the world with a companion. I'm sure you'll enjoy finding out about the culture of the Invenites." The Professor led Locke into a grassy room, in which several Oddish, one or two Zigzagoon, and some Sentret were located. A tree in the centre housed two nests of Pidgey, a small nest of Spearow, and was that black shape…

"Starly!" It flew out of the tree and dived down onto the Professor's shoulder, pecking at his breast pocket.

"Hey! That's my lunch! Stop eating my sandwich!" The Professor was attempting to shoo away the Starly, but to no avail. Locke broke out in a fit of laughter.

After it subsided (and the Starly had eaten the Professor's sandwich and was now sleeping under the tree), Locke looked around at the room. The Professor spoke up again.

"For you, Locke, I would recommend a Pidgey or an Oddish. They're easy to train, and very durable. I would have given you a Chikorita, but… we're all out."

"I'll take the Starly there, Professor, if you don't mind. I'll pay for your lunch." Locke pushed his glasses up his nose a little more, and pointed at the small bird, grabbing 500 Poke out of his pocket simultaneously.

"Well… if you put it like that…" Professor Stump was slightly embarrassed at the show of Poke. "Alright. Here are five empty Pokeballs for you to capture other Pokemon on your journey. And here… here is the patented PokeDex, useful in all situations. Last but not least… you might want to recall your Starly, there. Here, this Pokeball is rightfully yours." The Professor handed Locke a ball engraved with a black feather. "I do confess that I've grown used to him attacking my lunch. But well, life'll go on. And he can still visit."

With these last words, the Professor Stump escorted Locke to the entrance of the laboratory. Suddenly, a resounding call was heard behind them.

"I see you've got a new Pokemon, Locke. I challenge you to a battle!" It was Logan, no longer at the window he previously was. He wore a smile on his face as he pulled out a Pokeball from his belt. Locke pulled out his Pokeball from his belt as well.

"Starly!" Locke beamed a bolt of energy out from his Pokeball, condensing to form a black-and-white bird, tinted with grey. Being recalled and sent out again seems to have waken it up, though, because it arose from its previous sleeping form.

"Hmm... you need a suitable nickname." Locke looked at his Starly before thinking a bit and beaming triumphantly. "I shall name you Zircon."

@Cirrus... Good post and just in time too, if the others don't post by tomorrow they are dropped... You can move on now.

LE GASP! TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY?!

"En garde, Logan!" Locke grinned at the man opposite him. Professor Stump, delighted at having a battle staged outside his lab, pulled a lawn chair from his storage room, sat down, and began to watch.

"Great! I hatched this guy just yesterday. I hope you can handle him." Logan chuckled, and was immediately ready for combat, his Pokeball sending out a red pulse of energy that solidified into a little bear.

"Don't forget about the Pokedex you have, Locke!" Professor Stump shouted to him behind the thick glass doors of the laboratory. Locke shrugged nonchalantly and flipped open the red device.

*image removed*
TEDDIURSA – Type: Normal – Species: Little Bear Pokémon.
It licks its palms that are sweetened by being soaked in honey. A Teddiursa makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill.

"How nice. Zircon!" Locke scanned his Starly with his Pokedex as well. "I need to know your capabilities."

*image removed*
STARLY – Type: Normal/Flying – Species: Starling Pokémon.
Because they are weak individually, they form groups. However, they bicker if the group grows too big.

"Alright. Zircon, tackle that teddy bear!" At the sound of Locke's voice, Zircon began to charge forward, eventually ending in an impact flatly on the Teddiursa's left side of his stomach. The Teddiursa whimpered slightly.

"I'm not that easily beaten, Locke! Scratch him back, Teddiursa!" Logan directed his Pokémon confidently. Teddiursa backed up slightly, went into a slow sprint, and body slammed Zircon out of its way, claw glowing. Zircon backed up, wings helping to keep himself steady.

"Growl, Zircon!" Zircon unleashed a loud, piercing shriek into the air, frightening Teddiursa slightly. "Now, follow up with another Growl!" Another shriek. Another step back by Teddiursa. "Then another!" A third shriek, and Teddiursa is, by now, clearly shaken.

"HOLD YOUR GROUND, TEDDIURSA!" Logan roared at his Pokémon, unwilling to lose. "Don't be afraid of him! Use Scratch!" Teddiursa charged up for another strike at Zircon, but this time nothing much was accomplished; due to Growl being used repeatedly, Teddiursa's offenses were now sluggish, and did not provide much impact. Locke took the opportunity to advance. "Zircon! Quick Attack!" For the first time during Locke's short career in Inveno, Zircon flew up into the air and dived straight at the back of Teddiursa's skull, creating a white stream of energy behind it. The attack made impact with a resounding boom, and Teddiursa was knocked back one and a half metres before skidding to a stop and turning around, dazed.

"Hmm… let's try a different strategy. Variable, this time. Teddiursa! Yawn!" Teddiursa, though shaken, managed to burp out a stream of pink bubbles at Zircon, who flew up into the air to avoid them. Unfortunately, a tiny bubble struck Zircon's wing, and Zircon descended to the ground, made sluggish by the Yawn.

"Haha! Seismic Toss, Teddiursa!" Teddiursa, reinvigorated by its success, threw Zircon around in a circle before letting Zircon fly in a continuous blur of motion. Awakened by the attack, Zircon regained full control of his reflexes.

"Let's do this, Zircon! Quick Attack!" Locke regained his hold on reality after being hit also by another bubble, albeit minorly. "Counter him with a Seismic Toss, Teddiursa!" Logan was not one to give ground, though, and commanded with equal force. Rings of fiery energy began to gather behind Starly, who looped into the sky, momentarily out of Teddiursa's reach, and dove down in a wide arc of motion, gathering an aura of power, before finalling striking Teddiursa squarely on the chest. Teddiursa attempted to grab Zircon, but failed as it tried to regain balance once… twice… and fell over, knocked out cold.

"Mmm. Very nice work, Zircon. Hora somni." Locke smiled faintly at his Starly, Zircon, now worn out by the battle, and beamed him back into his Pokeball. And then, he offered his hand again to Logan, who shook it with renewed vigour, nodding to concede Locke's accomplishment. "Well done, Locke. May you ever improve on your path as a trainer." Logan returned Teddiursa to its ball. "You deserve some rest, my friend. Now…" He grabbed another ball from his belt. "TOGEKISS! I choose you!"

A beautiful egg-shaped white Pokémon appeared; its wings extended wide, its tail three fluffy feathers and a blue-and-red crest are its most striking features. Locke hurriedly pulled out his Pokedex to scan it; conveniently, he used it just a few minutes ago, and so he got it from his shirt pocket.

TOGEKISS – Type: Normal/Flying – Species: Jubilee Pokémon
It will never appear where there is strife. Its sightings have become rare recently.

"Goodbye, Locke. May we meet again eventually. After all, it must happen." Logan climbed onto his Togekiss, and waved to Locke with a smile. "I AM a gym leader, you know. Goodbye also to you, Professor Stump. Thanks for everything. And goodbye."

"A gym leader? A useful friend, to be sure. I'll see you soon, Logan. Make no mistake about it." Locke's eyes glittered, their irises smiling at Logan's form.

@Cirrus-Great post, Zircon hit level 7 and what's this? Logan seems to have left a box behind and there's a note attached.

Good luck on your journey, I hope this can help you!
Signed,
Logan

Inside the box is a small TM; TM 89 U-turn

"I hatched this little guy just yesterday, I hope you can handle him," Logan called as he released a small brown bear with a crescent moon mark on its head. It looked kinda cute...at least, until it bared its teeth and slid out its retractable claws with an ominous schick. Chris slid out his blue Dex, pointing it at the small bear.
"Teddiursa, the Little Bear Pokemon. Before food becomes scarce in wintertime, its habit is to hoard food in many hidden locations."
Chris nodded to Cacnea.
"Right, time to get in there. Start with Poison Sting!" Cacnea aimed its arms at the surprised bear, screeching as tiny spines fired out of the spikes on its club-like arms. Teddiursa yowled in pain as the needles dug into its skin, then growled as it savagely ripped them out. Logan smirked.
"Poison Sting's a weak attack, Chris. Nothing more than an irritant. Now...Seismic Toss!" Teddiursa darted forwards, grabbing Cacnea's hands. The cactus squeaked confused, then yelled out as Teddiursa leapt into the air before slamming Cacnea down hard. Chris just grinned.
"Seismic Toss isn't worth squat without experience. And your Teddiursa is only two days old." Sure enough, Cacnea leapt back to its feet, sporting nothing more than a slight bruise.
"Alright, fix up that damage with Absorb!" Chris shouted and Cacnea grabbed hold of Teddiursa this time, holding it tightly. For a second, nothing happened, then the bear swooned as a green aura came over the pair of them. Cacnea grinned as it collected over its bruise, the faint yellow returning to the normal healthy green. Logan grimaced.
"Scratch it!" Teddiursa snapped out of its dizzy spell and slashed with its claws, gouging furrows into the green flesh of Cacnea's belly. The plant howled in pain as something (sap or blood?) oozed from the wounds and Teddiursa raised its claws to strike again.
"Leer!" Cacnea glared at the bear and it ground to a halt, stepping back in fear as Cacnea's eyes bore holes into it.
"Now, take advantage with another Absorb!" Once more, Cacnea grabbed Teddiursa in a bearhug, howling angrily as Teddiursa's energy was drained into the plant's cuts, partially healing the gashes.
"Scratch," Logan called, in a virtual replay of before.
"No way! Toss it, Cacnea!" The bear raised its sharp claws, but before it could strike, Cacnea hurled Teddiursa several feet away.
"Poison sting!" Chris shouted excitedly and Cacnea caught Teddiursa with a flurry of needles, knocking it back a further foot. The bear bounced once on the floor, then skidded to a stop at Logan's feet, unconscious. The huge man raised an eyebrow, then sighed as he returned Teddiursa to its Pokeball. Looking up at Chris, he smiled.
"That was a great battle. But is going to be a lot harder for you next time." Chris raised an eyebrow quizzically and Logan answered the unasked question.
"I'm one of the Gym Leaders of Inveno. Seeing as you'll be taking the Pokemon League challenge, it's a fairly safe bet to say that we'll meet up sooner or later." Not hugely surprised, Chris nodded, then held out a hand.
"I'd better be off. I'll see you later, I guess." Logan nodded, then walked out. Chris heard the sound of a Pokeball being opened and a huge white shape flew past the window, Logan crouched on its back.
A Togekiss? Chris wondered silently, First a Teddiursa and now this...he doesn't exactly look like the type to go for the cute pokemon either...Behind him, Professor Stump sighed.
"If you've quite finished using my lab as a battlefield," he said in a way that implied he was more amused than angry, "I think you have a journey to be getting on with." Chris nodded, thanked the professor and walked to the door. A whole new region awaited him. It would be best to not keep it waiting.

Fantastic post! I'm glad some people are still posting xD I'll be waiting for at least 5 people to get to the cave before applying a new chapter...
