IP address problems

    So today I decided to get the internet on my Pokemon Platinum up so I put in the key SSID and what not but when I do the test it shows full bars but then says it can't get my IP address.When I go in game it says it can't connect.Anyone know how to resolve this?
     
    Have you tried to assign an IP address manually to your DS/DSi/3DS? If you haven't done that, then be sure you try that out. And when you do so, just use your router's local gateway IP address for the DNS and it should work.

    I had this problem on my DSi XL with my router and giving it a manually-assigned IP address resolved this issue for me. :)
