Iris and Drayden

Do you think someday Ash will battle against Iris as a Gym battle?
This'll be interesting if they do.

And will Drayden appear in anime?
Probably so, seeing that Iris only has Axew, & alone, wouldn't be enough to be Gym Leader (Haven't seen any other Pokemon that she owns, so..) atm.

if so, what is his relationship with Iris
Probably him seeing her as some kind awkward person or friendly person, it could go either away..

And will Drayden appear in anime?: Most likely, yes

if so, what is his relationship with Iris?: He doesn't look like he could be Iris' dad, so I think he'll be Iris' mentor.

Maybe the same way in black and white where he tells Iris to battle Ash instead of himself.

Maybe a teacher back in Iris hometown or has a high position.

I think so, yes.

I think he will be like a mentor to her, and he probably will be the Gym Leader of the 8th Gym, but in seeing how far Iris has come he decides that Iris should become the new Gym Leader (or at least try to prove her worth by beating Ash)

Well, I'm watching the English version not Japanese version, & I have seen a couple of the episodes of the English vers., so...
 
Yes that is correct those are the three current pokes she has. Albeit one doesn't even obey.

Yes, they try to develop some sort of rivalry between Scraggy and Axew, so if they both evolve I could see this as even more plausible(if that is not the case then my changes of her battling him are lesser). To say she doesn't have much pokemon doesn't really detract from out chances since we are not even half way through the saga yet. There is still plenty of chances to expand her team and for her pokes to grown.

And will Drayden appear in anime? if so, what is his relationship with Iris?
Yes, I don't see why they would leave him out, since he also appeared in the game along side Iris. As far as his relationship goes he is still the Gym Leader, but I believe Iris to be his apprentice and he is the mentor to her. I could see Iris coming back to the Gym after the saga sharing duties with Drayden which is her reasoning for parting with Ash who knows.
