5th Gen Is anyone else disappointed?

Based on seeing some videos and such I was hoping for some fierce looking pokemon. It seems to me like the game was taking a more serious...or i guess dangerous turn for our little hero/heroine, but to me the pokemon all look like jokes. I was totally pumped for the dragon/dark and now i see the sprite and I am totally disappointed. an ice cream cone?!?! really? I know its based off new york and such but ugh...sad day for me.

Some may look digimon-ish (:P) but im not dissapointed at all, im still hyped, i love all the new functions so far, especially the new battle system.

I have always hated this mindset. What should a Pokemon look like? What should a Digimon look like? Tell me that in detail that can incorporate stuff from every gen.

I couldn't answer that myself.

I am mostly fine with this gen... except the Gym Leaders. They have too few pokemon, makes me think they're easy. But that's it, really.

Well i find gym leaders so far the strongest i have ever battled, and....for the first time in my pokemon life, a leader has killed most of my pokemon, aloe beat 4 out of 5 :P i was sooo unprepared for that.
Digimon are usually more humanoid and monstruous, and in this gen we have a larger number of those kinds of pokemon. >.> for instance that girl pokemon i have in my sig :P

You may hate them now, but you might get used to them over time. When i first saw the entire list of Pokemon, I honestly thought it was fake. They all looked crappy and stupid, and every other insulting word I can think of. x33

There was this one Pokemon that I absolutely hated. The lizard with the pants. But as you can see by my avatar (I suck at coloring...) I ADORE it now. It's probably my 2nd favorite 5th generation Pokemon now (after Pokabu).

So you should give these new Pokemon a chance before you bail out on them. Besides, these are just the sprites. The Sugimori artwork might do them some justice. :x
