Is Generation 8 coming in 2019?

Are we going to actually get the Generation 8 games for Nintendo Switch in 2019 or is it only speculation? The mainline Pokemon games are only going to come out for the Switch from now on and not the 3DS? The Switch is technically taking the 3DS's place as Nintendo's main handheld?
