Is it right to mooch off your neighbor's open Wi-Fi network?

Using someone else's wireless connection is basically identity theft as you are using their IP to browse the internet. If you get punished the punishment also affects the actual owner, which I've experienced due to my family not encrypting our connection. So thank you, thieves.

No, it is not right. That is there Wi-Fi and you don't need to use it.

It's not ethical, but I don't remember that ever stopping me before. Unless you're using a lot of bandwidth and slowing down their browsing, or they've got limited usage caps, they won't know the difference.

lol, I know I've done it, a lot of times, but our neighbor stopped using Wi-Fi, so i have to use my own Internet now.. ( i only mooched off his for the fun of it)
