I've been playing Pokemon Diamond for three days now. I think it seems too easy, because I've gotten all eight badges, caught Dialga, and am on my way to the Pokemon League. I've not lost a single battle yet, nor have I reset to avoid losing. Did anyone else manage this because it's easy? Or am I a little bit too... good?

Pokemon has always been easy, really. The only way to make the beginning of the game harder is to avoid battling trainers since they give a lot of experience. I've yet to try doing that since I still find the game fun even when it's easy... but I might try that when platinum comes out. :)

I found it easy as well.
It really depends how you train your pokemon.
As you have probably noticed, the pokemon games are targeted at young kids nowadays, so the difficulty level has gone down.

I completed It on both Diamond & Pearl together in 5 Days. xD It's a really easy game but Platinum looks quite tricky.

Well,Yes they are easy,But it also depends how much time you have to play and wheter you do all the areas, get all items, get all ribbons,etc...

The main game (8 badges+gym and, as of Hoenn and beyond, some legendary quest) has always been easy and usually takes about 20 hours to complete. But there are literally dozens of things to do beyond the main game, and that's why I have put over 800 hours on one Diamond cart alone.

    Achooooo!!!! excuse me.

the game was easier than most of the previous pokemon games.i beat it in 13 hours so i think that they must of ment for the game to be easy for noobs.

anywho the hardest part if the game is the battle tower and thats post game.to bad the victory road was easy as well.

Yeah, it was kinda easy, but the Elite 4 were pretty hard the first time for me(good thing I stocked up), especially... well, I don't know if you want spoilers. :p But there is so much to do after you finish the game, it's really amazing. The Battle Tower will definitely add some difficulty to the game, and to this day I'm still finding items and stuff on the ground that I never got. Also, you still have the mission of catching all Pokemon; something I still haven't done. XD

    It depends.

It WAS tricky for me before because I usually train one Pokemon at a time, like my Infernape, so I usually get killed when I use it against a Pokemon that has a type advantage over him. So I decided to train each Pokemon equally.

If you chose the wrong Pokemon for your party, AND against a Pokemon with difficulty, that is, you'll TOTALLY get pwned. So choose wisely.

Overall, it's fine. The only threat for me is the E4 cuz I didn't train well.

Yes, it is. I'm glad Platinum is going to a lot harder and hopefully live up to our expectations.

Yeah when I first bought and played pearl. it seem pretty simple. I didn't as much though, but I still had loads of fun and I still play pearl today and I have like 300 something hours in the game already. =]

I agree. I may not have won EVERY battle, but, I do feel like Daimond/Pearl was.... lacking in difficulty. The only difficulty is when you don't have enough potions or ethers/berries in the elite four. Other than that, it was a cake walk. Lets hope Platinum steps it up a notch... or a ton of notches...

I actually never thought of this before, but maybe they should implement easy/medium/hard modes? Or even just two different levels. I know that it's not in platinum, but hopefully they might add it in the next time.

That way beginners or really young kids can still enjoy the game and find it doable, while people who find the games too easy can get more of a challenge. I hear platinum is harder too, but I doubt it's going to be that much harder. :)

Yeah, Red and Blue were great in difficulty with level 70-80 E4 haha, but it went down hill in G/S with a level 40ish E4 and what not.

In D/P I wish things were harder, if they had difficulty settings then I think it would only impact gyms, significant trainer battles, like Rival, Cryus, and then obviously the E4.

they should have put an ACTUAL difficulty selector in this game, cause i seriously found the games main story to be too easy! WAY TOO EASY!

The game is definitely too easy. The Elite Four was the hardest, but even it wasn't that bad (I think I lost one or two times). Even if it is easy, I still enjoy the games.

Well, everyone, expect the E4 in Platinum VERY hard after you

    *OMG SPOILERS*

do the Stark Mountain sub-quest. They will level up in flying colours.
