4th Gen Is it true that Sandstorm raises sp-defence for rock type Pokemon?

Hey all
I just wanted to know if it's true that sandstorm in pokemon D/P raises the Special Defence for rock type pokemon? I heard in another forum that it does, does anyone own a Japanese version of D/P and could tell me if it's true.

Apparently Sandstorm, alongside some other weather conditions, have gained some extra capabilities (like Hail increases Blizzard's Accuracy too 100) and now raises all rock-types' Special Defence by 1.5x.

Ah, nice. A lot of moves got upgraded in D/P, like Hi Jump Kick getting an additional 15 points of base power.

they should have lowered flying type speed, it's hard fly in that weather. Exception is aerodactyl, skarmory, gliscor/gligar or any flying with ground/rock/steel

Yea thats true, because it is diificult to even walk in a sandstorm or look. this make sense a whole lot

if you guys are saying that to think logically, then there's no logic behind a pokemon's sp def going up in a sandstorm.

Yes. it does. Leaf Blade is now 90 with critcal.
