I'm a huge fan of all previous Pokemon hand-held games...
I have yet to purchase the Nintendo DS, hitherto I have yet to purchase Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.
I'm really excited to play the next series, yet I'm hesitant to fork over my third-world slave-labor wages to own a Nintendo DS simply for my perverse Pokemon addiction.

My question to you, my wearisome peers, as stated most obviously in this Thread title:

Now that you own a copy of this tender little piece of software, do you regret it?
Would you go back in time and choose another title?
Are your greedy little thumbs satisfied?
    And...
Do you think I'd be quite satisfied with this most recent Pokemon title?

I could never play another pokemon game ever again unless it's for the DS. The game play is just 100x's better in my opinion. I never thought I'd like the dual screen that much either - I figuered it wouldn't make a big difference, but it does, it keeps the actually game screen uncluttered with options which is really nice. Plus the clarity and the graphics are just unbeatable! It's so easy to see every thing and do everything - plus, you can run in buildings, lol. I personally hope they can start redoing some of the older ones and make them just for DS.
In the end - it's worth ever penny, I'm completely satisfied and I couldn't imagine a pokemon fan not liking these new games!

Its was well worth it for me, the main drawcard being the online mode and wireless local play meaning that for the first time in years I've actually battled my friends.

Everything else is pretty much same old, but thats certainly not to say its bad. Touch screen use is lame, and the game has some issues, but for a fan its definately worth picking up.

Neat... I think running inside buildings is absolutely essential in order to have fun...probably...

I bought Diamond as soon as it came out. After my sister bugged me about how she wasn't getting in on that action, I bought a DS Lite (white) for me so I could give the old DS to her, along with buying a Pearl version for her. That's $200 I spent because of D/P. And I feel no regrets. XD

Would you go back in time and choose another title?
Nah, but that is probably because I love Pokémon and nothing else great came out at the time. Considering the time of the year it is now, the decision may have been harder. I would still get D/P eventually, of course.

Are your greedy little thumbs satisfied?
Most definitely. Although at the moment, I'm not playing Pokémon as I'm currently enthralled in another RPG, but when I feel in the mood for Pokémon again (which I will), I'll probably have several new people to battle/trade with by then. (although I haven't battled much at all >.>)

If you are talking about the game as a stand-alone, it is basically a slightly better version of every other Pokémon title. If you happen to have access to Wi-Fi, though, you will definitely enjoy it. Wi-Fi opens up limitless possibilities for this game, and games to come.

    It's true! lol :P
I hate having to move at a snails pace...one of the reasons I never got into Pokemon when it first came out! >.< lol
Yes, forgot to mention the wi-fi as every one has already stated. What an amazing feature!

You should try Red/Blue sometime, you'd be suprised how much faster those games are than DP. Sure you move slow indoors, and the menus and PC are clunky, but the battles are so much better, they start quickly and each turn goes fast, the text scrolls quick and overall is a lot better than DP in that way.

I remember playing Blue when i was in 5th grade for the first time...
I had actually never even seen the cartoon then. I didn't understand the PP system and ever time my Pokemon would run out of PP I'd quit... What a foolish boy.
I traded it for a stack of crappy trading cards with at least fifteen Weedle in it.

Most definitely a regrettable Pokemon exchange.

(Little did I know that five years later I'd dish out $45 for a clean copy of it.)

I don't think any of us can determine whether or not you'd like it.

I'm glad i have it and my DS, it's fun to play and it keeps me occupied.

It is the rovolution of pokemon. It is worth in if you have someone to trade with.

    Only if you enjoy Pokémon

It really is a great game, and worth the money.

It's probably the best pokemon game in my opinion because of the potential for competitive play. In the older generations you couldn't really play anyone besides the nerdy kid down the road...

Well worth the money and the investment of time I've put in it.
