Is there a true Physical Wall?

I have had a problem with chosing a physical wall. Is there a real Physical Wall? I mean, one that can successfully counter Metagross, Garchomp, and the rest of the OU Physical Sweepers? If there is, than please tell me. I know most of you will probably say Skarmory, but i dont want to use that unless that is my only real hope.

Steelix and Regirock are very powerful physical walls. If trained properly, they can take a couple earthquakes before going down.

my donphan does pretty well against metagross and garchomp. its defense is so good it takes meteor mash and stab earthquakes easily and dish out earthquake/ice shard that really put those two in a world of hurt.

not suggesting donphan but there are a lot of options. you just have to think and pick from your favorites. garchomp is actually a metagross counter. if you have trouble against metagross, just get a garchomp. swampert is a good counter to both pokemon too if you buff up its defense.

Well my leech seeding tangrowth has taken a few out itself with this

    Tangrowth@Leftovers
    Impish~252 hp/252 defense
    ability~leaf guard
    leech seed
    sunny day
    sleep powder
    solarbeam

I have 2 tried and tested physical walls I use if I'm not inclined to use Skarmory.

    Slowbro@Leftovers
Bold, 252 defense, 216 hp, 40 special attack
    Calm Mind
    Surf
    Grass Knot
    Slack Off

Great because if it gets off a few minds it can wall special attacks as well and becomes an offensive powerhouse with the potential to straight sweep, and because it will beat Skarmbliss any day of the weak. It may have a few liabilities with typing, but with its considerable bulk and Slackoff Slowbro can shrug off super effective attacks like a beast. If Garchomp is an issue, nuke grass knot in favor of hp ice, though Surf should be sufficient and other waters (notably Vaporeon and Milotic) will walk all over you.

    Vaporeon@Leftovers
    Bold
    252 defense, 220 hp, 36 special attack
    Surf
    Toxic
    Wish
    Protect

Ever seen a Vappy in heat? It's vicious. High special attack and decent power move, Toxic, and protect is a potent combo, and with wish coupled with leftovers you'll be getting back insane amounts of health every turn while your opponent dwindles. Just watch out for the sleep clause.

Bold Venusaur can make itself useful as well, with sleep powder and leech seed/growth.

Skarmory can take a couple of Fire Fangs from Garchomp before fainting and is immune to Earthquake and absorbs anything a Thunderpunchless Metagross can throw at it with ease. I think it can also take two T-punches from it. I can't understand why no one mentioned Skarmory before. There's a reason for why people use it, you know. I think your second best bet would be a physical walling Tangrowth:

    Tangrowth @ Leftovers
    Ability: Chlorophyll/Leaf Guard
    Impish/Bold Nature
    EVs: 252 HP, 228 Defense, 28 Spd

    - Power Whip/Leaf Storm/Energy Ball (Energy Ball or Leaf Storm if you use Bold, otherwise Power Whip)
    - Knock Off/Reflect
    - Leech Seed
    - Sleep Powder
Well my leech seeding tangrowth has taken a few out itself with this

    Tangrowth@Leftovers
    Impish~252 hp/252 defense
    ability~leaf guard
    leech seed
    sunny day
    sleep powder
    solarbeam
Who uses a Sunnybeamer with Leaf Guard instead of Chlorophyll? I can hardly see that set working anyway. It's like a hybrid between a sweeping and a walling Tangrowth. Not cool. =\

Well it works for me so I think I'm gonna keep it. Oh, and by the way my tangrowth can take out a skarmory with solarbeam. Also I use mine for purly walling, not tanking. I use sunny day to keep off status and while I already have it up I go with solarbeam to widdle away thier health.

Ok, now is there anything that can counter a Salamence, along with Metagross and Garchomp?

Has anyone evr thought of probopass cause his def and sp def are high. I'm not sure if he is immune to earthquake though

i didn't mention skarmory because in the original post vainz clearly stated he wouldn't use skarmor unless he has to.

@vainz dude, a lot of walls counter those things(salamence, garchomp, metagross) with ease. vaporeon with surf and ice beam drop salamence, garchomp, and metagross like they're little insects. my blastoise may not be as good as vaporeon but it does the same thing for me. ice beam is your friend against salamence and garchomp, and stabbed surf can almost OHKO metagross. shouldn't this problem be addressed in your "best overall team thread" anyway? with the way that thread has been going one would think you guys have all the best physical walls figured out there.

which brings to to remind you that a max defense claydol can drop all those guys with ice beam and earthquake/earthpower too. i say this because it's one of the pokemon on your best overall team(unless someone took it out)
