Okay, so I have battle my friend each and every time I encountered him.
All seven times, he has beaten me. I even had my best trump trap with me.

    His Team: All 100

    Raichu
    *Thunder
    *Brick Break
    *ThunderBolt
    *ShockWave

    Gardevoir
    *Psychic
    *Shadow Ball
    *Thunderbolt
    *Psywave (or somthing like that)

    Milotic
    *Ice Beam
    *Surf
    *Hydro Pump
    *Blizzard

    Ho-Oh
    *Sacred Fire
    *Ancient Power
    *Earthquake
    *Thunder

    Lugia
    *Aeroblast
    *Ancient Power
    *Hydro Pump
    * (Unindentified)

    Celebi
    *Psychic
    *Solar Beam
    *Perish Song
    *Heal Bell

    MY TRUMP TRAP
*Okay so I know how to get his first two Pokemon, which are always Raichu and Gardevoir.
My trump is Groudon with Rayquaza
My Rayquaza knows Crunch, which is used for the Gardevoir, and my Groudon uses Earthquake, which can take out the Raichu as well as the rest of the Gardevoirs HP. Thats when my little problems go down hill.

Give Groudon Eruption to remove the Celebi and add in a powerful Electric-Type (or a Kyogre with Thunder)...that's my suggestion.

No, no, no, no, no. PLEASE don't give Eruption to Groudon, and I believe that Celebi is his friends Poke, not his. Normally I would suggest not using Legendaries and beat his team with regular Pokes, but if you are losing to him with the weak movesets he has, you probably aren't skilled enough. What you need is just a little better strategy.

First of all you need to change up your starting two Pokes. DO NOT use Groudon and Rayquaza together. Instead of cancelling out Groudon's Ability with Rayquaza's, you should start off with a different Poke that can take advantage of it. Ho-oh, if you have him is a terrific partner for Groudon. With Drought automatically on the field, Ho-oh can use Solarbeam right away or hit incredibly hard with Sacred Fire while Groudon uses Swords Dance to jack up its Atk. The next turn, Groudon can Earthquake without harming Ho-oh, or Rock Slide if your friend brings in their own Ho-oh or Lugia. If you cannot use Ho-oh, then a Poke with Chlorophyll like Exeggutor or Shiftry would also be terrific partners. Both can Solarbeam, and while Shiftry can Fake Out the biggest threat to Groudon while is SDs up, Exeggutor can use Sleep Powder. Drought causes Cholorophyll to double the speed of both Shiftry and Exeggutor, almost guaranteeing you a strike first. Plus, both of them resist Groudon's EQ, although I would probably switch out anyway to Rayquaza to counter Ho-oh that your opponent would probably switch in. Ho-oh has great SDef, but its Def is only really good. With Rayquaza now nullifying Groudon's Drought, the enemy Ho-oh won't be able to benefit from it and you can hit it hard with Groudon's Rock Slide. Make sure Groudon knows Fire Blast though, so Celebi won't be a problem.

I really don't know what the rest of your team is, so I cannot help you further, but Groudon and one of the three aforementioned Pokes really should be able to defeat that pretty weak team, if you play it right.

Again, no Eruption on Groudon. Groudon is the best legendary in the game. Take advantage of that.

I could probably beat this Team, Show there Stats and then I will know.

I can see why this team is giving you problems - three legendaries, nuff said. I'll give you a few ideas for building a team around this:

    1. Get a Rock/Ground type. Rhydon would be an excellent choice, as it has Electric immunity for his Raichu + Earthquake, and a Rock attack for Ho-oh (4 x weakness). Don't worry too much about Raichu using Brick Break, you can survive one or two of these easily with Rhydon's high Def/HP, and Raichu's attack is only average. Alternatively, Aerodactyl will give you an extra edge, being faster than pretty much everything he has. Get a Choice Band on either choice, as it will do impressive damage.

    Rhydon@Choice Band
    Nature: Adamant
    EV: 200 HP/252 Att/56 Def
    Trait: Rock Head
    Rock Blast/Rock Slide
    Earthquake
    Megahorn
    Double-Edge

    or

    Aerodactyl @ Choice Band
    Nature: Jolly
    EV: 252 Att/252 Speed/6 HP
    Trait: Rock Head
    Rock Slide
    Double-Edge
    Wing Attack/Aerial Ace
    Earthquake

    2. Light Screen Claydol. An excellent addition to your team, I see. Give it Ice Beam, Light Screen, Explosion and either Earthquake or Toxic.

    3. Lapras. With Water Absorb and a 4 x Ice resistance, plus the ability to use Thunderbolt moves, it's the ultimate shut down for most Water types. Throw that in front of his Milotic and watch him cry. Ice Beam and Surf are good options for his other moves, and you can use either Sing, Roar, or Perish Song in the fourth slot.

    4. Heracross. This idea only works if you have a Salac Berry, from either of the GC games. Give it Endure/Reversal/Megahorn/Rock Slide and max out Speed and Attack. Adamant nature. Lure one of his Psychic types and Endure the Psychic, then with Salac you'll outspeed everything he has, then you can finish off with a powered up Reversal, Megahorn (with Swarm ability) or Rock Slide for the fliers. Megahorn does more damage to Lugia though, so keep that in mind, also KOes Celebi in one shot (more 4 x weaknesses).

The other two can be mainly filler, but you can easily trump him with just these four. Also note that I've used no legendaries myself. Show him how cheap his team is by using non-legends to beat his legendaries.

BTW, Rayquaza using Crunch is kinda lol, since he'll do more damage with Aerial Ace against Gardevior's lower Defence.

He probably doesn't care if you can beat this team, he is asking for help with HIS team. Please stay on topic.

Great suggestions, Tooth, but again I wonder about his skill level. Like I said before, if that team is giving him problems then he should probably use a few cheap Pokemon too. I would hate for him to use normal Pokes, only to misuse them, give away his new strategy, lose even worse to his friend, and then only strengthen his friend's belief that ubers are necessary.

Kitori, Tooth has provided you some excellent strategies, but I would really advise against using them until you become better skilled at competitive battling. I would HIGHLY suggest that you read all the stickies in the Strategies & Movesets forum (https://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12) and then read the suggestions from Aragornbird, Synchronize, Mullet, and the others. You might even want to post your team there and then add this team to get good suggestion on strategy. At any rate, good luck to you.

Well, I was just trying to think of a Fire-type move that would help and a Pokemon that could use it, and that's what first popped to mind...

No worries, but Fire Blast is MUCH better than Eruption on Groudon. Eruption might have higher AP (150 to 120) and better accuracy (100% to 85%), but it is the huge SAtk stat drop that makes it a horrible choice. Of course you would only use FB on Celebi anyway and hit the others with a boosted QuakeSlide. Meh, I would still stick with FB even based on principle.

Kitori, go and tell your friend that his team sucks really badly. Then prove it to him by beating him in a battle using the expert advice that shane and Toothache and I give you.

Houndoom is great against his Gardevoir and Celebi, since they can't do anything against it.

    Houndoom @Lum Berry
    Modest Nature
    -Flamethrower
    -Crunch
    -Solarbeam
    -Will-o-wisp

Groudon's sun will help Houndoom a lot and it can protect it from Milotic's Water attacks while you use Solarbeam.
Houndoom can't survive forever though. Swampert can help you against his Raichu, Ho-oh, and Lugia.

    Swampert @Leftovers
    Adamant or Impish Nature
    -Earthquake
    -Rock Slide
    -Curse
    -Rest

Use Curse once or twice, then attack with your boosted power. With Swampert's boosted Defense, Ho-oh and Lugia can't do anything against it. Rest is especially important. You need it to heal if you're low on health or if Ho-oh burns you with Sacred Fire.

Those are only a few suggestions but they shouldn't have a problem beating your friend. Good luck in your next battle!

Wow, you sure set him straight.

Hera weak. Megahorn and Rock Slide from Heracross means gg for this team.

If with Liechi Berry passed too the game itself will automatically declare you the winner the winner if the pass succeeds.

    Use Heracross.
