I just offered a squirtle over the GTS and asked for a kingdra (any level and any gender) and i recieved a level 100 shiny kingdra. Its japanese and is in a cherish ball.

no from the info that you have gave it looks hacked

It's obviously hacked. You can't catch a Kingdra in Route 201, specially at Level 1. 'Sides, Cherish balls haven't been released (Don't think they ever will), and are only used for Events.

well for some reason i didn't think you could trade hacks over the GTS...

And no, it wasn't hatched..

sadly there is not much stopping people from trading hacks.

Not really. I suggest on releasing it, or putting it back on the GTS and see if you get something in exchange for it, although I don't think that will make you any better than the person who gave you that thing. It's your choice ^^
