Is World's Championship fun if you aren't 'invited'?

Hi, I'm thinking about attending World Championship in Orlando this August with my son. We dont have an invite, but were wondering what we can do w./out that invite? Can we freely attend / walk around, etc? Is there non - invite stuff to do?

I have never been to worlds, but I have no doubt there would be millions of side events you could compete in.

I know this topic is old, but the day before Worlds, a last chance qualifier tournament is held. So if you win that tournament, you could actually get into Worlds.
