[Tool] Issues with Complete Item Editor

I'm working with Ruby version 1.0.

I'm trying to make new evolution stones using LSA's Complete Item Editor, but every time I edit an item, it either crashes the ROM, or causes some other weird issues in the game. (Such as Title screen glitching out, game crashes when saving in certain locations, or Pokemon level going down 6 levels upon evolution.) Basically, this program doesn't appear to be working at all with the particular ROM I'm using.

Are there any alternative programs or methods I could use to make evolution stones?

I've solved this. For anyone who may come across this in the future, I used HexManiacAdvance instead.
