I am joining. Team Rocket's Meowth is my favorite Pokemon character. He is an insightful and philosophical creature with a sharp mind. There is no question that he is intelligent. I also like his sarcastic tongue. His wise cracks are humorous.
It is a shame that the writers have not done anything with his character since Johto. What was the last episode that gave him focus? The one with the Pidgey which was trying to learn how to fly? It makes me sad to see the show's writers fail to properly utilize such a wonderful character. Nowadays, all he ever seems to do is have erotic fantasies involving Giovanni.
Speaking of his love for Giovanni, I find it interesting from a psychological stand-point. It is clear that being rejected by Meowzie did a major blow to Meowth's psyche. Right after her rejection, he became a Giovanni fanboy. This is probably because he views Giovanni as being safe, not to mention he could provide him with the protection and care he never had growing up. I actually pasted a picture of Meowth laying in Giovanni's lap on the cover of my Abnormal Psychology textbook. A picture of him trying to impress Meowzie is on the back.
I also like Meowth's 4Kids voice. Maddie Blaustein did an excellent job playing him.
