Its just a Lil White Lie...

I only lie when it's absolutely necessary to preserve peace. Usually, I just leave out part of the story so I'm not technically lying, just withholding some truth! ;)

"Does this make me look fat?" ----- No. [inner thoughts: It has nothing to do with the outfit....]
"What did [so-and-so] say about me?"------- Nothing, really. [Only that he/she thinks you're an [insult]]

These kinds of things.
 
I try to lie as little as possible. Most of the time, I plan to lie, and honesty gets in the way gawdammit and others, I plan to tell the truth but I just cant.

Like, with my parents, they always ask me: Where do u get the money to buy all this stuff. XD Guilt makes me want to say "your wallet" but to keep this shady trust and keep them relaxed, I say "Mmhm. Just save."

With friends, I rarely lie though, possibly because I don't really care. Either they're with me, or against me. Black or white.
 
If it involves getting out of school, then sure. I once persuaded my teacher I had a really Scientific sounding disease that was contagious. I wanted to test her knowledge, since the "disease" I mentioned was actually the scientific term for a Rain forest Fungi. XD

I lie alot at school to teh teachers, since I couldn't be bothered to take "new" Norwegian
(we Have to learn a different ACCENT in the Norwegian language! It breaks most of the Grammar rules the "normal" norwegian has! It's so confusing! The Norwegian language is sucky enough as it is! XD)
 
I don't like lying, however, if the situation is brisk or I know it'll create less trouble I do tell the occasional lie. I hate lying to my parents and close friends though so I do avoid it most of the time.
 
As some people said, it depends on the situation. I sometimes exaggerate when I'm telling something, but other than that, I don't really lie.
