I understand them perfectly except for how you can tell ho many evs and ivs a pokemon has, that could be helpful to know if i wanted to ev train a pokemon obtained in trade
EV's.. well you just have to count them yourself. Every pokemon has different EV count so use serebii.net for more info.
As for IV's just do an IV calculator search on google and you'll find plenty. Although it is more accurate to tell the IV's of a pokemon at lvl 100. lvl 50 is good too.
