4th Gen I've got an important question, regarding DS.

I need to know if playing a Japanese Diamond/Pearl version will work on an english DS.

It says "Compatable with Nintendo DS Japanese" or whatever. Does this mean it won't work on my english DS?

My friend makes a big deal about Pearl being "Better" than Diamond.

I guess because of the monsters each game offers.

If Nintendo knows how to make games, then they are equal. Although I wanna get Pearl cause of Parukia and Tatetopusu.

i dont have a ds and was gonna get one to play diamond on but i cant read japanese either so i was wonderin if it is worth waiting for the american version or is it worth importin the jap version

Well most people don't even read them anyway, but if you do get one Serebii and Coronis are translating it into a guide called the "Discovery Thread" that would always help.

I was thinking about getting a Japanese one, but I wouldn't know which site it would be best to buy from.

I can only read e and i in japenese and I just ordered my copy of diamond in the hope that I will be able to learn in a few weeks but seribii has coverd the basics of the game so that you know what is going on and I think i can translate all the important stuff like items with my comp :)

I just bought Diamond even though I can read Japanese but just not understand what I'm reading lol. So is it confirmed that the DS is regionfree? Because when I bought it the people told me that it was for use only in Japan and would only work on a Japanese DS... please reply quickly because I leave Japan in 2 days and I want to buy a DS if it isn't region free or won't work on another countries' DS.
