If i had known about Bakuman before the anime i'm sure it would probably be one of my favourite manga. As i started on the anime i will finish the anime before reading. Still got about 5 months before it finishes yet though (if they run it weekly with no breaks) :L

Spent today marathoning Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, I think this anime goes to prove that a simple story really can outshine a complex one. Any of you guys seen this? It kinda made me want to high five humanity whereas most media makes me want to burn it. I think i'd give it a high 9/10.

Well, I'm planning on a mini-marathon today which will see me finish up Diamond Dust Drops and also get caught up on the subbed episodes of Yes Pretty Cure 5. Because of what today happens to be, I will be doing other things that keep it from being a true marathon, but at least I'm getting some anime watching in today :P

Finished Nyan Koi!, and it was pretty good. I'm watching sola now and thats good as well.

I was at FYE this weekend. Huge freaking selection of anime DVDs. And they had a 50% off promotion. :D

No way in hell was I going to show my dad that I like anime to the extent of actually buying stuff with his money.

Whats FYE if I may ask? And are there just Eng. Dubbed anime there?

If my dad found out that I like anime he would look down upon me, actually my whole family would.

Don't mean to sound like a stalker, but what area of PA do you live in? They're quite common in shopping malls and the like. FYE = For Your Entertainment. They sell Movies, TV shows, Video Games, Music, and whatever else is associated with entertainment. They don't sell English dubbed anime exclusively. There's some things there that are sub only like CLANNAD ~AFTER STORY~. And the anime that is English dubbed would usually have a second audio track with Japanese audio and English subtitles most of the time.

I actually don't live in PA haha. I only put that because its where one of my cousin lives and I love being there. I actually live in Illinois. I'd like to see if there are FYE near where I live. *googles*

They're usually in malls, though some go out of business form time to time. It's a pity Best Buy stopped supporting anime -_-

Personally I recommend Rightstuf or Amazon to get them.

I've never seen them in my mall, and I haven't seen any stores that seem to sell anime, and I can't buy from online ._.

I've only ever brought anime from amazon.com or playasia(something like that), I've actually just ordered HOTD and both R+V seasons. That will bring my collection to a mighty... 5 dvd box sets and the odd volume of manga :/ :L

I don't order from Rightstuf often because you have to order $49 worth of products for free shipping, as opposed to $25 at Amazon However they do have special deals from time to time when you can get stuff really cheap that more than makes up for the shipping, and I take advantage of those if something really attracts my interest.

Kekkaishi = awesome. I have been looking for something to replace Bleach to get my action/supernatural fill for ages and this is it. Not sure how good the anime is but i've just read the first couple of manga volumes and i'm hooked.

I just picked up The World God Only Knows, which is an anime release in this season and so far, it's the "most promising" series this Fall. Though episode 4 felt like a filler, but the previous episodes were exceptional.

From this new anime releases, I am only watching a few shows, including the mentioned above: Star Driver, MM!, and Psychic Detective Yakumo. And I am continuing Arakawa Under the Bridge season 2, which is going okay for now. :D

I only read the Bakuman manga, is the anime as good?

Episode 4 of The World God Only Knows was dire, but i'll agree it has started well. For me Bakuman is the most promising anime so far (Haven't read the manga), Psychic Detective Yakumo (one of my favourite manga) and MM! are both above average. Other than those i've been watching the second seasons of Sora no Otoshimono and To Love-Ru, both pretty meh so far and also Yosuga no Sora also very meh.

A second season of To Love-Ru? I figured they ended the 'story' in the first season. Is it any good? And I might try out Bakuman today; my roommate is watching it and he said it's very good.
