Japanese Great cards

So, as we found out with the introduction of the Legend: Heart Gold & Soul Silver sets in Japan, they have phased out Lvl. X's to replace them with Great cards (i.e. Great Meganium, etc.).
This morning, I opened a Legend: Heart Gold booster box and found two Great Blissey's in it. However, one appears to be reverse holo, which is very odd to me because I don't see any reason why a Lvl. X or its equivalent would be anything other than holo. I havn't seen any images posted anywhere of the "reverse" card, just of the normal Lvl. X-looking one.
It's probably a long shot because very few people in North America have seen them in person, but does anyone know if this is normal for a Great card? I'm wondering if it's a misprint. And no, I can't post a picture because I don't have a camera ^^

I personally haven't heard of that sort of thing happening, but it also doesn't surprise me. This is the first Japanese set that uses reverse holos, so it's understandable that they might have goofed by making Great Pokemon in reverse holo forms. I can almost guarantee that there will not be reverse holo versions of Pokemon Prime (US name for Great Pokemon) when the set comes out in the US.

Also, just wondering, does the RH Great Blissey have the border in RH foil instead of the standard Great Pokemon foil (the most likely), or is it just a normal non-holo border?

Oh, I didn't know they would be called Prime in English, that's good to know!
And you're right, I forgot that they have just introduced reverse holos for some rediculous reason into the Japanese sets; that could have something to do with it, although I still havn't found a single image or mention of reverse holo Great cards.
The card's border is non-holo, along with the image. It's printed just like a reverse holo, where the only holo part is the space around the text.

another question: how many great pokemon do you found in how many booster packs???
this because im dont know how rare they are...

In 20 booster packs I found 5 Great cards, including the "reverse holo" one. I don't think this is typical, however, because most of the youtube videos I've seen of people opening these booster boxes find at the most 4.

    lol There's a chance at epic fail here, because I find this interesting. ^_^;

Do both Blissey Greats do different things?

I don't believe you're wrong on this, but I had to ask. XD Well, it's neat that you got a HGSS box. Have you play tested anything with them?

Japanese card sucks. Yu cant use it, end yu get penalty for turnament pley.

Nope, they are basically identical except for the holo thing. And umm, I'm actually going to be the epic fail here lol *^^* what do you mean by play tested? I'm just a collector, not really a competitive player, so if that's a game thing then probably not lol.

The Red: How can you say "Japanese cards suck"? From a collector's standpoint they are very valuable, and it was my understanding that you can actually play them in league, as long as you have an official translation (although I have heard that they will eliminate this for upcoming years). Just saying they "suck" is an extremely unconstructive comment; if you feel that way then keep it to yourself, no one appreciates that negativity.

They suk becuz the last taim I play them in turnmet I got banned.

    ...anyway.
For anyone who is still interested, I don't think it is a misprint; I'm starting to hear that they have incorporated the reverse holo into the Great cards too, which is lame.

I think I said this earlier, but I highly doubt that the Pokemon Prime (Great Pokemon) cards will get the reverse holo treatment in the US. Lv. X's and ex's haven't gotten them in the US, why should Prime cards?

The Red: That would be understandable if it was an unofficial event, but currently at official tournaments, you should still be able to use up to six Japanese cards in your deck. (provided that you have either the English equivalent outside your deck for reference or a printout of the official CardDex) After September 2010, all Japanese cards will be banned from official tournaments.

It's sounding like it was an unofficial tournament, since if it was an official tournament, they would have had you replace the offending card(s) if you didn't have translations, not outright ban you from playing.

I agree that they will probably not be reverse holo in the US, however these are Japanese cards, straight from Japan, and it is impossible to know whether a reverse holo Japanese Great card is normal because they have never had reverse holos in Japanese sets before.

    That's what I'm thinking too.
