These guys just get on my last nerve.

They're in almost every Pokémon episode. The first couple of times, their appearances were okay, they wanted to steal Pikachu, and stop Ash's journey. I GET THAT.

But why keep bringing them back to do the same thing over and over again? I know Team Rocket was a staple in Red/Blue, but it's not entertaining anymore.

You're watching an episode, an very important part is about to take place with Ash and the gang. But WAIT! Cut back to the trio, and watch as they devise another s****y plan to steal Pikachu, or any other Pokémon for that matter.

Is it really necessary? Now, every time I watch an episode on the computer, I skip them and their stupid pre-fight chant jazz.

    Anyone else feel this way?

EDIT 17 Days Later: I thank everyone who has responded and will respond in the future. Each and every member's personal view on the trio has opened my eyes considerably.

I'm pretty sure people agree with you, I know I do. Team Rocket is just like Brock; need to go away. But I guess the writers want them to stay because they need an antagonist group

I am in full agreement with the both of you (except Brock is pretty kool, just the ways he has with women are plain dumb and need to stop. Puberty...it's a B**** lol)

Anywhoo, yeah Team Rocket seriously needs a change in life.

I always wonder how they manage to survive every single explosion/fall the are in. If that little "ding" is correct, they were blasted off high into the sky...maybe about 50,000 feet? I've heard stories of people falling that high and surviving, but seriously, that is a very rare occasion.

Their plans are rather stupid and filled with crap. "HAHA OUR MACHINE IS SHOCK-PROOF...JAMES WHY DIDN'T YOU FIRE PROOF IT AS WELL?!" What a complete idiot.

Giovanni sent them on a mission that they still need to do...somewhere in Antarctica...

I don't personally have a problem with them. I like their characters. I just wish that they would change up their role.... or actually have them win for once... Or just have them on there less often :3

Well with J and Ginga-dan, it looks like the Rockets arn't much of antagonists compared to them!

I do like TR, but like what Amane said they should get a different role. (Adorable icon btw)
They have the capacity to do so much more, and they get less evil by the minute.

Yeah, Team Rocket is getting VERY old. They went form major obstacle to an annoyance in the anime with no point at all. They need to get a life. It would probably be better if they had their own series instead of Hacking up the main one.

No kidding - They are so old. Q_Q I find that whenever I catch myself watching Pokemon, and whenever Team Rocket come on, I just get super annoyed and pissy. They just bug me. Their Pokemon suck and Meowth is annoying with all his fantasies of "Imagine the boss..." *Yawn*

I agree with all of you, Team Rocket is getting on my last nerves aswell. They are sucking up the anime to a point wheres theres no point of watching them anymore.

The anime directiors just create useless fuller characters such as: Jessie, James, Meoth, Hunter J AND PAUL, just so that they could use them for pointless fuller episodes, all for the perpose of writing out game related storylines, (which might suck like the Honen episodes with the Kyogre vs Groudon ark).:(

Believe me, Team Rocket always tries to steal all the screentime with their supid motto. If you all notice, from the first season to Battle Demension, they put even more effort to gain long screentimes. IT'S SO ANNOYING TEAM ROCKET REALLY NEED TO DIE NOW!!!:pirate:

I couldn't agree more. Its the same thing every time with Team Rocket: (babble and argue about their plan) -> (start the "evil" plan) -> (miserably FAIL) -> (get blasted off and come back the next day) the cycle never ends and it gets old. They need to atleast succeed in some of their schemes or atleast stop catching retarded pokemon like Chimecho, Mime Jr who won't evolve for some stupid reason, Wobbufett, Carnevine who is stupidly useless, they need to do the following to liven up the anime and change some things.

    1. Team Rocket needs to be shown in non-frequent intervals (once every five episodes would be fine)
    2. Team Rocket, if appearing in an episode need to have a decent scheme to act upon.
    3. Team Rocket needs to get a whole new team of pokemon.
    4. Team Rocket needs to stop centering around capturing Pikachu and Pikachu only, keep the objective fresh.

I coulda sworn I posted in here before, but anyway....

Yes, yes, yes, and YEEEEEEEEES. I am sick and tired of them and the whole Pikachu thing. I wouldn't be surprised if people in Japan dislike them too.

I like them I hate their plans they dont need to appear in EVERY episode. I think once in awhile

    I agree!

They should appear every five episodes! They are the comic relief of the show and it is Team Rocket who usually cause the conflict, however in every episode it can get repeatitive. Though they do need to be reoccurring characters...

I think the only reason Team Rocket are starting to wear a little thin is because the writers obviously don't put as much effort into their schemes and script as they used to. I mean, before Hoenn, Team Rocket would start with a creative plan - their plan to sneak Ash into Erika's Gym in the first season was one of their best - and a lot of fourth-wall smashing dialogue, as well as some brilliant costumes. James' crossdressing was one of the best things about the earlier seasons. Anyways, this would then go horribly awry, and they'd end up bringing out a giant mecha based on a Pokemon to finish it all off.
Now, things have taken a decidedly different turn. James hardly ever crossdresses, their plans are very samey and predictably dull, the fourth-wall breaking infrequent and far less creative, and its very rare that they bring in a Pokemon-based mecha. Either the writers can't be bothered anymore, or they're out of ideas. Considering the way the Pokemon anime has been going, I'd put my money on the latter.

Jesse and James need to be replaced...if im correct there like 28 years old (it took me alot of calculatin to work that out). one of the funny things about them is when james gets breast enlargement to enter a beuty contest (this was an old episode and unfortunently it was never aird)

i actually love team rocket. They have all the little humour that pokemon has. and meowths fantasies can sometime be hilarious :L

It was an episode in series one, but it was aired by 4kids after a while, but they cut the whole contraversial scene. The episode is called "Beauty and the Beach"
