I remember a quote from 'Ready, Willing, and Sableye' when TR was trying to escape with Pikachu and Corphish and Ash sent Taillow to stop them...
Taillow started to peck Jessie's head and she replied with something along the lines of 'It's alot of work to get it this way'. lol Jessie's also has one of the most unique hairstyles I've seen.

Jessie's hair was original red, why should it be anything else? Besides, it goes with her outfit.

OK good. I was only in kindergarten or first grade or maybe even 2nd grade when the show came out.... (can't remember which) (what did I have for breakfast this morning?.... eggs or toast?)

I liked Jessie's hair as a nice bright red. It fits her fiery personality.
Also, with the color change, as an anime artist, I notice these things. Not only did Jessie and James hair color change but blacks turned into grays and all the colors became more pale and sad. I miss the old colors desperately but then again I have a TV that can change the colors back to normal.
