So my first deck I'e made in years. I went out and bought a ton of cards, starters, and boosters.
I've only used pokemon from the Johto and Kanto and so far I havent lost. And I've played a decent amount of people. Im missing a few cards that ive sent for in the mail, just better trainers, ect. Because obviously, I just dont have the cards. Basically, it's just an evolutionary beatdown deck. I know there are alot better versions of trainers I have, but I have to make do with what I got. And no. I'd prefer not throwing in your trash ass 500th gen legendary ********.

    Basic Pokemon:
    Ponyta( Ascension one. ) x2
    Cydaquil x1
    Druddigon x1
    Teddisura x1
    Promo Pikachu 2010 ( Recharge/Thunderbolt ) x3

    Evolutionary Pokemon:
    Rapidash ( Rising Lunge ) x1
    Rapidash ( Shooting Fire ) x1
    Raichu (IronTail/Thunderbolt) x3
    Quilava x1
    Typhosion Prime (Afterburner/Flare Destroy) x1
Ursaring Prime (Hammer arm/ Meaton Lariat) x1

    Trainers:
    Bill x4
    Cheren x1
    Greatball x2
    Team Rockets Trickery x1
    Energy Search x4
    Pokemon Collector x2
    PokeRadar x1
    Pokemon Communication x3
    Technical machine ts-1 x1
    Energy Retrieval x3

    Energy:
    10 Fire
    12 Lightning

Try getting more Typhlosion Prime, and try getting more of the Roast Reveal Ninetales from the HeartGoldSoulSilver or Call of Legends sets. They pair well together. And even though you may not want it, Reshiram from the Black & White set (considering you have another 5th gen Pokemon in Druddigon) is a fantastic complement to the two cards I recommend getting. Narrowing the focus to Reshi, Typhlosion, and Ninetales should be a very good deck for casual play, and even for competitive play despite the existence of Kyurem in the competitive metagame.

Also, as you get more good Trainers like Pokemon Collector (you'll want 4), Pokemon Catcher, Junk Arm, Professor Oak's New Theory, and Eviolite, cut down on the number of Energy you have so it sits at about 15.

Though if you want to go a different direction and focus on Raichu, buy the Furious Knights theme deck and use the two Eelectrik it comes with (they're a Stage 1 card that has an Ability that can pull the energies that Raichu has to discard when it attacks from the discard pile and reattach them to your Raichu). The theme deck will also come with some more Trainers worth considering such as N and Bianca.

I recommend the same trainers for the Raichu deck as I do for the Typhlosion deck, except for Eviolite, which only benefits Basic Pokemon.

Also, PokeRadar isn't tournament legal if you're planning on going to tournaments, and a few of your Pokemon might not be, either, since they're from older sets.

I actually happen to have the ninetails, Name the cards on a list, I'll buy them. I prefer running off of the raichu's, and i literally have aloooooooot of cards at my disposal, I'm just lacking trainers. Bad luck eh? I honestly was thinking the same starter deck you said as well, I just have to wait till 4 so I can get my vehicle back from my girlfriend when she gets out of work.

A couple decent pairs for Raichu include Mangezone from HS Triumphant (the one with Lost Burn) and Zekrom from Black & White, since they give the deck some relative longevity by having higher HP totals than Raichu.

Lists escape me at the moment since I'm posting this reply at 6 AM after being up all night and am kind of drowsy.
