Chapter 1: The Least Expected (part I)
That cake....with vanilla frosting and brownie chunks...and...and.....the games....Monopoly....Scrabble...and my favorite.... Clue......and....presents.....or....one present.....WHAT...No...this....shaking....it's....an EARTHQUAKE...wait...a voice....ummm.....Uhh......
"May! Are you okay!", Ms. Least shouted at her child. "Wake up!"
"What! Who! Huh! Oh...Ms.Least", May said groggily.
"Happy Birthday, honey", Ms. Least said. "13 years....you do know how long I've been your sitter, right?"
"Yes, 10 years today!", May exclaimed, fully awake now.
"Well, get out of those pajamas, and tidy up, I've got a little....surprise for you"
"My present", May thought as she threw on her clothes. She rushed into the bathroom and brushed her teeth, then jumped in to the shower. Once she was done, she ran down the stairs. "What's....this?", May asked, confused. Sitting on the table, was a board. It was a dark color, with 10 squares, 9 on the sides, and 1 in the middle. There were character pawns, only two, a yellow envelope, and a pair of dice. May walked to the table and sat down. "What is....this?", she asked, realizing it was her favorite game, Clue.
"I'm afraid it will be our last game for.....a while", Ms.Least responded, setting down a plate of toast in front of May. "Today....you're leaving. You're going...on a..a...journey"
"WHAT!", May yelled, but she quickly calmed down.
"I'll explain more, but first, let's play", Ms. Least replied.
And so the two played Clue, and in the final accusation, May took the prize, winning the game.
"Now", Ms.Least started. " You are going on a journey across Johto, you'll start by getting your first Pokemon at the lab, just down the path. You will beat gym leaders, and hopefully, the Pokemon League itself. I'll miss you May, but I think it's time to get a look at the world outside New Bark."
"But...but...", May was speechless.
"And here", Ms. Least said, handing May a bag. "There's a little bit of everything in there. I love you, May"
"I love you too.....Mom...", May said. She grabbed the pack and flung it over her shoulder, and with that, she exited her house, taking one last glimpse, at her second mother.
