I'm mapping Johto with D/P tiles for an upcoming game. It's not a G/S/C remake, it just takes place in Johto.

If anyone would like to help with spriting custom tiles that only appear in G/S/C, I'd really appreciate it. Things I can think of that I'll need so far:

    Inside of gyms
    Burnt Tower
    Tin Tower
    Sprout Tower
    Radio Station
More, but I can't remember ATM.

Here's my current progress. I started mapping this last night. I've only mapped the inside of Union Cave. I haven't done any of the houses, Pokémon Centers, or Pokémarts yet, but those are all simple. Once I make one of each, I'm done with all of them. Special houses (like your own and Elm's lab) will be done after I finish the overworld map.

Some of the tiles are temporary, like the Sprout Tower and Slowpoke Well entrance.

I may consider releasing the bare maps as a sort of Johto Region starter package.

I'm going to mention this as this is something everyone who is mapping Johto (or part of it) needs to be aware of.

Always, always remember to update and expand the maps to be more in style with the style of FR/LG maps (see the difference in mapping between R/B/Y and FR/LG) as that is the type of tileset you're using proportion wise.
Keeping them the same size as the G/S/C maps just won't cut it in a remake.

Thanks for the advice. I am definitely doing this where it is necessary. It's hard to tell since the image is so small, but the maps are larger than the G/S/C maps. I made them larger because, of course, some of the buildings are larger, but I am trying to preserve the scale as well, so they're only a slight bit larger to make everything look right.

    Whoops, double post. xD

I love the idea but, I have no artistic talent.
    So, I can't help.
