Jolteon IVs and Hidden Power

    Hiya, just joined today and am hoping for some help on an IV/Hidden Power regarding Jolteon. I am currently playing in HG.

    I know little about IVs and trying to figure it out myself was a bit intimidating. I realize that Hidden Power can change depending on IVs, and as of right now, if I taught Jolteon Hidden Power (the save, trial and error method I tried a few minutes ago), it is set as the Fighting type. However, I want it to be set as the Grass type. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do (if there's something I can do) to make Hidden Power the Grass type for Jolteon?
     
    Ok, that is good information! But I am very novice when it comes to IVs so I have no idea how to calculate IVs (well, I tried and failed) or get that IV set =/
     
    I'm not entirely sure it's possible to calculate IVs through normal gameplay. Think it's a trial-and-error thing. I'm pretty new to the IV business too, so don't take my word for it.
     
    There is a way to calculate ivs through normal game play you just need to get a the poke your gonna check its ivs to 50+ and you can get the general spread using a iv calculator or B.you can go on wifi hold a battle at level 100 check your pokes stats put those in the calulator and get exact ivs


    As for getting the iv spread you want that is a way more complicated process
