Kay opened his eyesand looked around to see if anyone else had come. He noticed a girl sitting next to him. "HI my name is Kay" he said without even thinking. "Umm what's your?" he askedfelling a bit embarassed. Hmmm I wonder how long shes been here. he thought waiting for her response.

"I'm Akira." Said Akira turning to him. "Are you here to see Edward Elrick too? I'm really excited about getting to meet him. He's like the most famous alchemist in the world. Well at least in my eyes." She smiled and held out her hand.

Kay shook Akira's hand. " Yeah I'm here to see him too and I wonder why. I mean I just passed the test about a week agp and now he wants to see me. I mean It's a bit nerve racking if you ask me I mean him the head of the military wanr's to see a nobody like me is kind of wierd. I bet even your way more talented then me." He said. He looked out the door and noticed it was getting later and the sun was starting to set. "Well anyway what kind of alchemy do you specialize in?" He asked now more confidently.

"Well I specialize in wind or air alchemy. Kind of odd. But well I think it's pretty cool. I also specialize in alchmey that doesn't require a transmutation circle. It's nothing special really but it helps when you need to use quick alchemy. What about you? What do you specailize in?" Akira was glad she had some one to talk to espesually another alchemist. It meant she wouldn't have to sit alone and let her nerves build.

"Well I really specialize in Water alchemy it's really cool if you know what your doing. You can even make Ice aarmor and sword but you have to make them a special way so they don't melt. Right now I'm studying alchemy with plants so I have anther area to work with. I'm also pretty good at fixing things that's the easiest thing to do I think. But anyway isn't wind alchemy hard? It Is alot of studying involved for it."

"Yes wind alchemy is hard. It does require alot of studying but it's worth it. You can creat tornados which can be a useful skill. Besides it just seems to come naturally to me." Akira shrugged and sat back in her chair staring at the ceiling. "I suppose that would also make it easier to use long range attacks. You never really have to get up in the midst of all the fighting."

"Hmmm I guess your right. Plus when you think about it we would make a good team if I add some water to the wind it will be a great combo." Kay started to drift out and fell asleep in his chair. While he was sleeping he dreamt of a desaese he read about spread by pollutoin in the water. He dreamt his mother was sick from it and the cure has not yet been found. He started talking in his sleep." No, no I can't find the cure what is it. Mom don't leave me." He stoped talking and continued sleeping calmly.

Akira looked at him. Once he stopped talking she turned away and stared at the ceiling agian. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep as well. She drempt about a war that had happened a long time ago. The Ishbal Masicre. She had read about it in the library. Even though it had happened a long time ago she still felt a spark of anger when she thought about all the lives that were taken for no reason.

""Oh Mr. Edwards these to are here to see you they've been wiatin here for hours now." Said the lady at the desk

"Really, I wonder where the others I sent for are? Well it looks like I'll have to wake these to the old fashoined way." Ed claped his hands causing it to send a harsh gust of icy wind on them.

Kay woke up and fell out of his chair away from the wind. "What did you do that for?" He yelled looking at Akira before noticing she was sleeping too. He turned around and noticed Ed standing there.

Akira jumped and clapped her hands together causing a small twister to form. She scowled and stood up. "That wasn't very nice. There are such things as alram clocks." She muttered as she got rid of the twister. Then she shrugged and added, "But I guess some people just like to show off."

"Well considerign you too were sleeping kinda hard I thought it would be funny. but anyway since the others havn't made it here I'll tell you two the news. I've decided to train the ones who did the best on the State alchemy tests so you all should know you all scored best on both parts. So if you'd follow me I'll show you all where your staying." Ed started walking down the hall on the right Kay followin him.

Akira shrugged and followed Kay and Ed. She was glad to hear had scored high on the test. One of the best in fact. I guess I did my homework well. She thought. I wonder where we'll be staying. I guess they have dorms here. I wonder if the others wil show up soon. I need to stop wondering so much and just wait to find out.

"Okay you guy just up this flight of stairs to your dorms. For Privacy I made each of you have your own dorm which has books on your Alchemy specialty. Oh yeah in case you want any other books in your rooms just let me know. Here we are. Ed said as they reached the top floor.

Looking down the hall Kay saw his name Imprinted in gold on the door. "Wow this is amazing Ed I didn't expect all this." He said exitedly.

Well just to let you know looks can be decieving expecially since we didn't kow your tastes. So it's up to you to use your Alchemy to make your furniture all the materials are inside and the bookcase is already there so you have to do everything else. I'll leave you guys to your work. Oh Yeah your keys are under the mats." Ed walked off down the stairs and dissapeared.

Akira's eyes lit up as she saw the door next to Kay's. Her name was printed in gold as well. She opened the door and walked in. The room was cozy but the coloring wasn't to her liking. It was alright but it would take some adjustments. She walked over to the nearest wall and looked it over. Then she pulled a navy colorled cloth and a yellow colored cloth out of her backpack and began to redecorate.

Kay opened his room door and walked in. It seemed to be really nice. It had brown wood floor with white walls. He headed into his room which was empty other than the wood, metal and rolled up carpet in it. Kay then tarted transmuting away. Using the metal to make a bed frame and some of the wood for chair. Kay used the rest of the wood for the white walls in the first room. When he was done with it the wood in that room it matched the wood color and went halfway up the wall. Kay then looked in the closet only to have a matress fall on him. He got up and tramsmuted it to the size of the frame (Queen Size) and jumped on it. I wonder what's in store for tomorrow. he thought to himself.

Finally Akira stepped back to examine her work. The room was now navy with yellow clouds. The matress she had found was now a Queen Size bed. The wood floors gleamed and she had a lamp on a night stand beside the bed. "There nice and cozy." She flopped onto her bed and stared at the ceiling. "I can't wait to find out what's in store for me tomarow." She got up and took a book on alchemy off the shelf then sat back down on the bed and started reading.

Kay got out of his bead and unrolled the carpet it was a dark shade of red He then spread it on the floor by transmuting itso he didn't have to lift anything. The walls in hs room were already a light brown so he left it as is. Darn I need more wood I still havn't made a table yet. he thought to himself. I wonder if Ed will give us anymore. Oh well i'll just have to wait until I can offord it. Guess I should go to bed but I need to tudy more. Kay got up and walked to the Nookshelf he searched for anything on Alchemy with plants but couldn't find any. He then left his room and headed toward the library

Akira finished the book. It wasn't too long. There more books on wind alchemy but she wanted to learn more about alchemy with out a transmutation circle. Unfortuanatly there weren't any so she headed for the library. She found Kay was already there. "I guess you're looking for books that weren't in your room as well." She found a book on what she wanted quickly then sat down to read. She had already mastered alchemy without a circle but she fully understand why she didn't need a circle.

Kay found a book on medicines that could be transmuted from plants. He started to read it and within a half hour finished it. Nothing! he thought himself. Nothing at all on what I need. Kay looked over at Akira and noticed she was reading about Alchemy without circles. Kay himself could barely transmute without one but he knew how. He decided to read one too so he found one. Kay didn't feel like reading it yet and he remembered what Ed said about if they needed more books. Kay memorized the title and put the book back. "Hey Akira I think i'm going to go to bed now. I Donn't know what will happen tomorrow so I don't want to take any chances."

Akira nodded. "Yeah I need to turn in too." She marked her page deciding no one would bother it until she got back to it, then put her book back on the shelf. She gave Kay a small wave then headed back to her dorm. Once inside she flopped on the bed again and wondered what the next day would be like. Eventually she rolled ovre and closed her eyes.
